Somehow, I tried to open a dds file in Paint, and now all my Texture files are listed as Paint and not dds! It has screwed everything up PLEASE HELPP!!!!!

calm down.I believe all you have to do is post which file then have someone email it to you and you can place it back in the file.

It's far to large a file to email. I believe there is a way to simply convert image files though I am not an expert on the subject. Don't worry though

Of course if you somehow saved that DDS from Paint it will likely have screwed up that single one. Other than that you should be fine.

Just pick up a DDS Converter and change the file(s) back into DDS format, or reinstall the game in a separate folder and replace your old textures with the new ones.

i cant write with my right hand at the mom but janus is right only the file is assoc. with paint i believe. so just right click chose "open with" and then chose photoshop or whatever and check "always open with" or what its named.

its crazy to write with the left hanf, but i dont do as many errors as i thought. even simily i can do haha

@ Lib--You should maybe disguise that email with some random word, so that spam email bots don't catch it and start sending you stuff. It could just look like [email protected].
Meh, that's what I've heard at least, and I know I'd rather not take my chances.

Change the file association. Go into Windows Explorer->Tools->Folder Options->File Types and selected dds
