Headshots & Archery/Melee combat

Hello fellow lords,

I have a question now that I been slaying a bit of heretics (because well all none from my kingdoms are) : Is it intended design (for balancing and whatnot) that headshots does not kill an unarmored target ?

It is more flagrant on bow shots, because you could always argue that a sword cut could not penetrate the skull and ****, but a bolt or an arrow should kill someone without an helmet (Can also be applied to players while on realistic difficulty)
A good example in the genre is Kingdom Come (pls feel free to censure to name of the game if it is not allowed), they do let one-shots happen on headshots with arrow only (or with melee if enough damage dealt) but not if a helmet is equipped.

I feel like it would only ease the early game as after that only archers does not have helmets, but would bring a bit of this realism back. Like it kinda brings me back to playing a video game when the brigand take an arrow in the head and keep throwing rocks at my horse ^^ (then my cavalry go all in and I all back into it, btw great works on the horses, goose bumps every time).

I am of course open to every thoughts and discussions.

but would bring a bit of this realism back

A lot of people are still fighting with an arrow in their head ... hmmm maybe not ?

I am agree with you but i never survived an headshot in Bannerlord, you try with realistic dammage ? I don't know if enemies die faster ?

Yes some people can, but what are the odds ? It's like some people survived a bullet to the head, but most realistic games still offers One shot to the head without protections.
And in my experience even with realistic damages troops don't die from a HS with an arrow.
