Have the Tanneries been nerfed?

So started a new game, did the usual, work up to save some money so I can afford a Tannery and have some stable income for my small party and earning a bit of money so I can prepare myself for whatever roleplay direction I want to go in without having the money worry on top of the daily grind frustration and finally built my first Tannery, and it's barely giving me any money even though there's a source of cow and pigs nearby. Usually the Tannery would imediately provide about 150 and then rising to about 300 gold per day, but I'm getting 33 and my party of 5 is costing me 91 per day.

Have they been nerfed?

What version are you on? As of 1.4.2 I didn't see any particular difference at tannery income. Maybe you got unlucky with caravans, raids, sieges and stuff.

300- 500 is reasonable, 1000-1500 is ideal especially if they have their source materials nearby

Hope they will not destroy game in that way, now with 300-400 profits i have over half milion denars. No need to buff tanneries more, feel lil bit cheating anyway

yes, tanneries got nerfed like everything else that gains u money. but there is a simple solution to it. keep fighting. never stop attacking someone or u get broke. and selling only to lords. towns dont have money, but lords on 1.4.2 are rolling in denars.

So with a tannery and a wood workshop I'm earning 150 gold per day which doesn't even cover the cost of my 4 heroes and 2 brigands.... I had to reinvent my character from the trader tot the smith to make money, there's plenty money in it but it feels like skyrim all over again where 90% of the game is just smithing iron daggers => sharpening iron daggers => enchanting iron daggers => selling enchanted iron daggers => be able to buy the resources to craft sharpen and enchant iron daggers. rinse and repeat until you forget what exactly you where saving up money for in the first place and slowly grow resentful of Skyrim, just seeing skyrim in my steam library is making me prone to getting annoyed and nauseous and anxious.

And in Bannerlord you also have to rest a lot in between the smithing, and you have to rest in town, so my free roaming wandering days are over basically.

I know there are smithing mods, but that's not the point, grinding javelins shouldn't be something forced on us because they decided to nerf a perfectly fine mechanic because a few psychopathic players love to complain about things being "OP" to show off their e peen and ruin everything for other players.

n 1.4.2 beta i have actually 5 tanneries, 300-400 from each. Still working I guess

I'm on the same beta and my tannery is barely making money

think I just need to test it longer on newest hotfix. What about fighting? I mean after killing only a few parties of Vlandians You should have swords, shoes etc rubbish for about 25-30k of denars. Tanneries, caravans are just additions

Yes they got nerfed with the latest hotfix. I had to change production to something that is produced nearby villages. Now I get a bit more (better than tanneries that give 30 at least) but still I can not have free time, I always have to fight to cover my expenses. I operate 5 caravans, own a town, three castles and all bound villages but that's not enough. Tried to decrease the size of my garrisons too but then they get sieged every week or so. I don't know how AI handles garrisons with 500 men without having caravans or workshops.

Who am I going to fight? I have 4 heroes and 2 brigands, I usually don't start building a fighting force until I outfitted myself and my heroes according to what I planned when I started a campaign (in This case taking inspiration from medieval II making the companions that will stay with me "Dvor Archers" Just like my character, and making the companions that will lead parties "Druzhina") Then I will recruit armies with the purpose of appearing out of nowhere (in this case my army will consist of Sturgian archers only, just like my Novgorod armies in Medieval II where nothing but Dvor arcehrs and Dvor cavalry), conquering a settlement and forming my own faction. But of course with the ai army spam, I've never actually gotten to the last part without cheating at which point having cheated taking the fun out of it and starting a new campaign doing everything all over again, trading and having workshops was vital for this.

I don't really like to fight too much, and usually never fight battles that I'm not sure I'll win without losses anyway, the only fighting I really like to do is clearing out mountain bandit and steppe bandit and desert bandit hideouts with a group of archers. But there seem to be a lot less hideouts since the last patches.

It cheats by not having the same rules and mechanics aplying to them, which is another source of frustration for the player

Tannery (or other workshops) cost 13-15 thousands of gold. with let's say 200 gold per day it will take 75 days (almost full ingame year) to break even. I guess it's fine. But, in other hand, 200 gold per day is good for sustain 14 tier 5 troops, which is Okay? maybe,

If we talk 100 gold per day this is become just silly. Two ingame years to return investment and have enough profit to sustain 7 good soldiers.

How do they cheat exactly? Developers says otherwise.
Are your running around with a huge army ready to attack whoever is besieging your castle right after you escaped when that person soundly defeated you in battle 2 days earlier?

Don't think so, hence it's a cheat because the AI lord/lady doesn't operate under the same conditions you do

They only cheat by being able to recruit always first two slots at settlements regardless of their relationship with notables (according to @mexxico). Other then recruiting they can take men from garrison and buy mercenaries from taverns.

And that's something the player can do too as soon as they join a faction. Unless of yourse you go out of your way to piss the notables off.
