Have I Done Too Much Damage Already or Can It Be SAVED

Hi all

Im very new to Mount n Blade Warband only brought it last weekend with no other experience...

So Im still in my first game and I think Im doing pretty well...

Although I have now noticed that your King (Im a Vassel to the Nord King) doesnt like it when you loot villages when you are at peace... At the time I didnt know this but Ive looted a good share (around 15 or so lol) before I found out about this...

Now our relationship is -20... So basically he hates me...

Can this be salvaged... As at this relationship I never get any land even the stuff I take over... And when I do major things like take a castle our relation only improves by like 3 points at the max... At this rate it would take forever to get back to zero let alone high enough to get more land...

Can this be saved? And how would I do that? Or should I just give up and continue looting lol?

its really not that hard to get into good relations with a lord, even the king.. - if you have tons of money to spend, i believe most ladies can help you out (1k per 1 point last i checked). Alternatively, most missions he will give you are pretty easy.. Worst case, the 'train units' mission... which is pretty simple to do if you carry around top tier units all the time.

I suppose if you are adamant about never doing anything to regain his favor, you can always ignore it - people seem to forget after a while (you gain maybe 1 or 2 points a month, but it doesnt require effort).

Really, just go talk to him about it.... im sure he will forgive you :p

Hmmm... I must be missing something here...

I have yet to see an option with the ladies to improve my relations with anyone? Do I just go talk to them or something?

Also he never has any missions?

Ill see if I can find this lady option tonight when I get home from work.

If you rebel what happens? Do I lose my land or what?

talk to them and ask 'can you help me improve my relation with a lord' or similar.

And he should have missions now and again, ask him every few days, maybe he just cant think of anything at the moment

You have to have positive relation with a lady to get them to smooth things over with a lord for you. Dedicating a tournament victory to them will do the trick. Still, at 1000 gold per single point, it's not really worth it.

I know that if you piss off another lord, you can go to a friend or relative of that lord, and if you ask "How may we work together", they sometimes give you a quest to buy velvet and wool (or something like that), and you get +8 or so relation to the lord that hates you. I don't know if you can ever get that for a King though.

-20 doesn't seem bad. Maybe you should be worried if it was -100.

Just do quests for your king.
Participate in sieges with him, and talk to him afterwards. You may not get an increase if it was too low.
When lands have been captured, ask him who he thinks should receive this newly captured land. Then nominate the person he nominates. This should always increase your relation.
Win in battles against other enemy lords. Then talk to your king. He will commend you.

There are many ways to increase relation with your king, and in Warband most of them are by participating in wars.

you say that now but, i have never seen a player get more then favorable(20-30 relationship) from the lady's
