Hi ,
I'm enjoying a heavily modded 1.5.6 build and have played several campaigns but still massively prefer Warband.

While I hope Bannerlord can improve with more development ergo playability , if it doesn't I can always revert back to Warband
/1257 mod and have the whole of Europe to roam in. I'd swap updated graphics/kids etc..for Warband's superior game play anyday.
In Warband I really feel part of the worldspace and which ever faction I end up joining.(feasts help with this) Plus I get to have a role in domestic troubles and leave it all behind and join a crusade if I want..which is awesome.

In conclusion my logged steam hours with Bannerlord are in the hundreds while Warband is in the thousands.I appreciate that one game has
been around far longer but can't envisage that ratio changing anytime soon...Bannerlord just feels empty by comparison and while I enjoy the battles
it doesn't give me a reason to stick around as long as I do with Warband..

My two cents..

Agreed.

For having had such a long development time and soon almost a year in early access, the singleplayer mode is so messed up and broken and it cannot really be called more than a glorified battle simulator.

At this stage it is not what I came to expect from Bannerlord and from TW, and judging from information surfacing from Jesus mexxico, doesn't seem like it will be any time soon.

Yep Warband was like that plain girl that asks you out but once you get past that exterior you realize there is something amazing there. Bannerlord is like her good looking friend but is a total airhead and about as interesting to talk to as a brick wall.

Good analogy.

I have also revisited Warband while waiting for more updates on Bannerlord.

After some more patches, also with patches after release, only then Bannerlord will be the first choice.

I won't touch it until things QoL issues and other glaring problems like siege pathing are fixed. It's too frustrating for me and I don't want to waste my precious time getting pissed off at a video game.

Bang on re simulator!

We hope..oh we hope.

Oh, the 1257 mod of warband is still my favourite. Tried also that multiplayer crpg, but for singleplayer 1257 most, clear (also the 'castle/town' 'Straßburg' was not settled near the upper rhine, was placed southern alpes (probably tyrol !!!!!). bit curious. Ok i live only 8km from Straßburg but so i never felt italian or tyrolian...
Bannerlord is in development and mod-possibilities farfar away from warband, for me bannerlord is a playable (anyway fine) beta version with some implementations to test but but really it feels still to much test-version in any matters.
I think there must go more than a next year of development that bannerlord can be modded to something really great.

I understand when people prefer Warband over Bannerlord. I prefered Warband more over Bannerlord when the early access first came out. Though I personally came back here in January with all the new battle maps (I had been keeping up with looking at the patch notes) and I've enjoyed the game way more (It's above Warband for me now, but just slightly).

But this is just unfair...Comparing a modded base game (Which has the bare bones in terms of modding tools) to another base game which also had a complete overhaul mod added ontop of it. This is beyond an unfair comparison.

wow that's a very good analogy, strip bannerlord of it's cool graphics and we are left with a husk of game while warband doesn't looks that great nowdays but it has a soul and gives what we really want/need.

Possibly , hope devs prove me wrong in coming months.

Exactly!

Btw... i am a very patient fellow ?‍♂️
and i will follow with much interest the future development of Bannerlord.
I remember Warband in its first phases was also not like the later versions.
But like that 1257 mod (or also that crpg) both were impressive as mods.

I agree wholeheartedly. Warband feels much more immersive, alive whereas Bannerlord looks pretty on the outside but it is really shallow inside. Even the really small rp elements in vanilla Warband made the game a much better experience. Things like feasts, letters from loved ones, rivalries, unique heroes with their own stories, not to mention all the great stuff that came with mods. Every TW dev should sink at least 10 hours into those great mods to see what would it take to make a thrilling M&B experience in my opinion.

Agree , still hoping future development gives me as much fun as warband is/has.
