Hard to play as French?

Recruit
It seems that this mod is a little bit... biased against the French. The French have no units that the English do not have, and the Longbowmen are twice as good as the arbaletiers.

I have no real problems playing as french. The longbowmen are ace and the arbalétriers are really not so good. But you can compensate a lot with cavalry in field battles, as said before. In my battles they trampled down every englishman, assisted by arbalétriers and foot soldiers.
But sieges I still find quite hard. After you get hold of some english villages, go recruiting many longbowmen. I play as rebel, helping Charles de Navarre. Now I got all english lords capured in my prison towers in Poitiers and Tours, haha.

Well i have my only castle attacked by 1310 english by now.....therere 242 defenders and it goes well my only enemy are constant CTDs I dont know how to get this battle to go till bitter end for comp

But I love the sight od 500 or more dead enemies laying under ladder  And I would agree english are overpowered...not because they would be unbeatable but because you cant outnumber them due to pasivity of french lords.....in 4.2 it was much better now its even worse although with this battle won Id say theyre screwed up

French has VERY strong cavalary. English lack in cavalary. English are perfect with infartry. They have heavy infartry named ''Dismounted English Knights''. They are with warhammers and battle axes. Also English has strong light infatry and archers. French lacks in Infatry. But very strong cavalary. And quite strong archers too.

I use to recruit lobsters in the beginning, train them a little  and then join the french. As stated above, France has excellent cavalry. With a mix of cavalry and English archers you shouldn't have too many problems.

HAHA well I find the English are fairly easy lots of good troops. I must play the French now if it is harder! That will be good.

I just started a new game and the King of France Roy or Voy or whatever asked me to join him I declined maybe I will start over and play as the Frenchies.

I'm playing as the French and I don't find the English to be excessively overpowered. 50 or 60 Sgt. Monte with 7 or 8 mounted heros seem to do a pretty good job mowing down even up to 125 English forces.

Now granted, in sieges English Longbowmen and infantry are probably better. Recruit English men too!

Well i join The English with a couple of men then raided village for money stay in castle for few weeks to train my troop to billmen/longbowmen then Attack Now i have just help the claimat to english throne by invading the Town he is in and talk to him openly and i have problem with many english lord because of Land Distrubution  75% of the English lord are at least -1 and i have 10 jailed english lord i manged to convince 28 lord i mange to win the overwhelm 12 English Lord and Won - completed

now im trying to cut from Angers to Metz via a few castle including Orleans which i would conquer and then pincer the cities between metz and Calais then Conquer PAris then then attack Avrigon make it my base if the king give me and wait for few days and recurit a few hundred Bill and longbowmen then conquer everywhere except for 2 - 3 france cities then join Charles de Navarre against those france force after helping him i would rejoin English Throne and finish off the rest - 5% complete ( Capture Angers , Orlean, lava)
