Happy 25th Anniversary, Windows

My Windows works more than well enough. A lot of people give Microsoft a hard time, and then go out and continually purchase their products. To be frank, it seems a bit senseless to me.

To be more correct, people give Microsoft a hard time and still opt to have Windows come pre-installed on their new system.

Jesus, I'd rather figure out DOS

Pretty much.

Call me a noob, but I don't want to bother trying to use Linux for the massive variety of stuff I do on my computer and Mac OSX supports about ten ****ing percent of my soft ware.

Nah, there were games designed to run under windows, but half the time it was just quicker to run DOS rather than start up Windows first. Although after 3.1 if you wanted to play over a network it was usually more simple to go through Windows to do it.

Microsoft - making the complex things simple and the simple things complex since 1985

Heh, the only contact I've ever had with DOS is cmd and DOSBox. Back in 2002 (when I got my first computer, anyway), XP was already the norm.

Windows 7 is pretty awesome, seems they've learned a bit from Vista.

Vista is like the daughter they hoped to become a professor in Harvard or something, but it went wrong and now its the campus slut whom everyone has installed at least once. Windows 7 was when they learned from their mistakes, and now, under its good perfomance and such, its actually the pimp of Vista. It uses everything thats good in Vista for its own purposes.

Damn Microsoft, you crazy!
