Guys any tips on how to increase my party size..?? Is it just CHA and Leadership that increases my party size..?? :?: :?:

Thanks in advance guys...

Leadership has a large impact, followed by CHA.  Then there is renown, and at a certain point, you'll need to rely on that.

Don't expect to get much higher than 100-150 without a LOT of renown.  That being said, the mod is built with this in mind, and you shouldn't NEED that many unless you abandon strategy and tactics altogether in your style of gameplay.

Leadership and CHA should tell you in their descriptions in the character screen how much they contribute to party size, and the party size report in the reports tab should tell you how much you're getting for your specific character for those  as well as for your renown.  Since it's one guy for every 25 renown or something like that, it'll be tougher to figure out that ratio from your report, but you'll get the idea

Oh I see. So there is more to consider than CHA and Leadership. Thanks for the help guys.
Holding and participating in tournaments is a good way to get some renown.
Fighting battles where the enemy outnumbers you can get you some decent renown too.
For instance, me and my 8 companions vs 50 snake cult enemies... very hard but very rewarding as well.

Max renown you can get for a fight is 50, so there's no reward for insane gloryhounding.  But it's bloody tough to win a fight where you're at the kind of disadvantage that gives 49 or 50 renown.  Fight the largest army you can beat with the smallest force you can win with and you'll rack up renown, increasing your party size.

Fortunately it only cares about the numbers, not the levels.  So taking on Alaric with 20 heroine adventurers will be a renown-fest, especially if you can find the magic battle size that still gets you the 50 renown, but gives you as many battles as possible, though the waves with eastern nobles will up the difficulty some.

Quite approbiate for lvl 20. I´m level 31 and thanks to reknown (2k) I can field a bit over 120 troopers right now (CHA 14, LS 4).

If you´ve already taken a castle it´s a quiet walk for you, garrison troops as they upgrade and hit the top and kill as many Lords parties as you can (reknown!)
If you haven´t taken a castle yet, things will be a bit more complicated - try to capture a castle asap and start garrisioning it.

After a certain point, once you acquired a certain strenght in military you will be able to smack even the large Lord parties. And once you can do that, army size won´t matter anymore. I´m currently running around with the remnants of my worn out former 120+ heads army, 65 or so leftover Knights, Adventurers and Hero Adventureres along my 10 companions and a collectoin of odd Pendorian and Ravenstern Units trying to become elite.

But I have passed that point of no return when most fights become easy pie lately. But it was a long path of blood, sweat and tears towards it. Pendor isn´t easy. Surving of the fittest pretty tricky. Just stay patient and act wise. Pick fights you can survive, attack smart. Keep your coffers filled and sword sharp.
You will finally get there.

Thanks dude. I guess I have to be patient. I can't attack a Castle with 200-300 men in it with just 60-70 of my men. We'll be SLAUGHTERED... :!: :!:

Actually, if you have the right amount of elite archers (and by right amount I mean a crapload) and decent surgery you can do it. Hell, I took a 600 man town with a 65 man party + 20 reinforcements from my nearby castle garrison, using Ravenstern Rangers, D'Shar archers and some Silvermists. You need to fill the wall defenders' faces with arrows, and when you run out, retreat and attack again until the enemy numbers are low enough for a full on charge to be viable.

I see. Thanks dude. That was really HELPFUL.  Now I know what to do....... LET THE LAND BE FILLED WITH BLOOD AND THEIR BODIES WITH ARROWS. .!!!

Yeah, remember that castle garrisons are large but most of the troops there are low-mid level. They can't hurt you if there's a line of angry and mean elite archers ready to put an arrow in their heads if they try to pop out and shoot. Just remember to recruit and train a good garrison force after you take that castle to defend it. Oh, and all that attacking and retreating during the siege really brings down your party's morale, keep it in mind.

I see. Thanks again dude. The training part can be tedious, THAT I am sure of it. But the morale is quite easy to compensate. I just go to the tavern and buy them some drinks. Money is not a problem anymore for me.

There are a threads and topics about the various tacitcs how to take a castle, try the search function. There are quite different approaches. But in short there are 3 methods:

1) Bloodbath: Gather huge army and storm the keep at all costs
2) Coup de Arrow: Get a ****load of archers and let loose
3) Sally them dead: War of attriton - just enough heavy infantry/cav to make them sally forth and slaugther them till you can successfully siege them

Thats just the crude basics. For Finesse, look in regarding topics elsewhere.

Mind you that some types of soldiers are very expensive to maintain. If you don't own a few castles or towns it'll be hard to keep paying for them. I have to pay about 10,000 a week now. I tend to run a few tournaments every now and then to maintain them when I have no sources of income. It's smart to keep that in mind.

Battle size 35-30 worked fan-bloody-tastic for renown grinding against Alaric, cheers for this little tactic, cause I always used to play at battle size 100,and it was really hard to grind up renown.
