Guns-a lamers' try to be a god in this game

So, the lamer is me and the way I want to become a god is to edit the game files in some way so as to make accuracy and/or reload time greater for both guns and rifles or for atleast one gun/rifle, that I will be using.
I know I most probably will get bashed by many ppl for asking this and for wanting to do it, but what can I say - I have some sort of issues, which can be handled by being uber super idioticaly powerf dude in a game.
Back to the point - I tried editting some files with the official mod tools, but no luck. Anyone willing to help me?

Also, I tried to enable the game's modify option, but I am unsure of how to opperate with it to change items, so if I can do it that way, I'd appreciate a hint.
