Gun wankery

Well, if I had to go for 7.62x39mm, that's the gun I'd go for. Epitome of AK-pattern rifles.

Galil is an RK with different cosmetics and more calibers, from 5.56x45mm to 7.62x51mm. The new Galil ACE looks very interesting.

Not exactly the right thread to post this, but whatever.

It's bad quality, I'm sorry.

You can't see the full details in this photo, though.

It's brand new spring TM Glock 17L. Shot like 100 BB's.

Imma gonna be a noob and say Desert Eagle. Don't know the original name, just looks so shiny and cool.

Ah, springers. Those were the times. I'm waiting for a Mauser M712 gas blowback. Gonna be fun.

The Desert Eagle IS called the, well, Desert Eagle. It's a lump of a gun.

Oh god how I loved to set the difficulty on easy and own anything crossing me in Rainbow Six Vegas2. So powerfull, don't know how it works in reality though.

It shoots a .50 AE, .44 Magnum or .357 Magnum, and is built like a rifle in respects to the technical aspects, with a rotating bolt, gas piston, etc. - unlike most automatic handguns, that operate on retarded or delayed blowback. It's a novelty item.

Is that like a C96? I have one of those, damn those things are fun to shoot!

Desert Eagles have a hell of a kickback...ugh...

Hat off, Sir.

I quite like the look of the ACR the US is looking at. No idea about the actual capabilities what with me being completely ignorant about gun stuff, but it looks decent; if a bit flimsy. A shame I can't pull out a british weapon, but the SA80 is a pile of wank.

It's sturdier than it looks, similar to M8.

Hmmm the Bushmaster, has detachable barrels, and I think there is a version with a barrel that fires .50's.

I can't really see a use for that beyond overkill. Armoured trucks, maybe?

Just like the fairly basic look. Especially compared to older US gun candidates like the XM8 - sure it's technically impressive, but could you really hold one of those against an AK and not feel inadequate?

Burgess: ACR = Adaptable Combat Rifle. The entire idea is that you can convert it into multiple calibers and functions with various replacement parts. Aesthetically it doesn't do much for me, but that in 6.8x43mm SPC seems like a potent mix for a modern rifle - that or a SIG556 in 6.8.
