During the Gulf war the Iraqi's were outfitted with them, at least part of their army.
There was 3 wars, Gulf War, 2001 Iraq Invasion, And a job I had in Columbia, 2004. (not talking of the job.)
I used AN 94 in Gulf war, it was gun I scavanged at time.
I nthat war my miloitia and myself were all just normal people. citzens, and some of us weren't even adults yet. I was only 14 at the time and I didnt have any other family besides my sister at the time. My sister fled to the outlying regions to one of my uncles groups, and instead of going to the UN refugee camp, I decided to fight.
Due to the fatc of looting and the first 3 days, which they bombed Napalm artillery rounds on the city, Guns were hard to find. We had to loot corpses often, or basically gang stray Iraqi's when they went off for a smoke or what no0t. We were basically like HUman maggots, or Alley Stabber you could say.
Afterwards, we kept off the streets even after that.
Streets= Dangerous because of snipers, machine gun nests, and BMP 15 tank.
So, in short we basically went through the buildings, alleys, even sewers. And when we attacked, it was coordinated as best we could.
Close to 3 months this fight raged on, then we managed to push the Iraqi's to the City outskirts.
Even when the UN and US forces came, and flushed out the remaining Iraqi's, they knew the rule too, don't go out into the streets.

No, I didn't fight Americans. Not directly anyways.
the 2001 Iraq Invasion I fought the IRAQI's, Actually supporting the buggers down in the States.
The US Forces still got slaughtered anyways due to bad management, regardless of how much help they got.

I'm still very surprised that anyone here used an AN-94 - I thought they were only given to forces like the MVD.
