To start off, you want to give a quick history of your regiment if your regiment is indeed historical. If your not sure about these two things, simply go here: http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php?topic=244045.new#new. This is will give you the needed history most of the time. But if it doesn't, simply look it up on google. Who knows? Maybe your regiment is a well-known one! But why would we look up the history, people don't usually read that thoroughly. But it still can be important, it shows that you know what your talking about and some commitment because you took time out of your day to look up stuff about your regiment. Now to start off your thread, I highly suggest something relatable to your regiment's nation or origin. For example, if your regiment was an Irish regiment, say something like "Take up arms brave Irishmen." you really wanna immerse your self into the regiment and get lost into the fantasy of leading a regiment into battle. This can be easy to do if you've ever seen any movies or series about the Napoleonic Wars. Think of it this way, your Sean Bean
. After you've hooked your reader with a headline pertaining to your reg's nationality or whatever, now I suggest putting a picture of a napoleonic battle (once again, google is your friend). This instantly gives the reader something interesting to look at and (I don't know about you), whenever I was about to join a reg and I saw a picture, I associated myself with being one of those men firing in a line. After the picture you need a roster. This is all the people in your regiment as well as their ranks. Make this as organized as possible, refrain from making it jumbled and what not. Now make your application format. This basically asks the reader some questions. Important an essential questions to have are things like "Do you have Teamspeak and a mic?", age, their steam name, and if they'll be respectful and what not. The rest is really simple. Add your rules, contact info (most likely your steam), and a schedule of some sort. Once again, add a picture here and there.
Organization:
You may be wondering, how did i do the spoiler thing? Well click that symbol under font sizes and stuff that looks like a sign for radioactivity and boom! Put your sections for you reg in these to make it seem shorter and organized. I also highly suggest centering all of your content.
Saying Goodbye:
This is completely optional but I suggest ending your thread with some memorable words. Maybe a reg motto you made up or a qoute from the Napoleonic figure (Duke of Wellington, Napoleon, etc.)
Getting the word out:
Getting viewed and noticed on taleworlds is mostly a waiting game, but there is a small cheat for that game. It's called a signature. Alot of you may already know how to make a sig but if you don't that's ok, you can still get one made
. A talented gentleman known as ifortune has a thread for sig-making. Go to the link below, fill out an application (try to be specific), and wait. And guys, be patient, iFortune is only human and can only do so much, so give it time. He made my two awesome signatures.
