Don't get excited...

I'm pretty sure that Steam just adds the date as the last day of the year for games with no release date.

As soon as we think the game is ready we will set a date and make an announcement about it.

Well, considering the ****storm that kicked off when they didn't meet their own release date, I can't blame them for taking a random date they didn't set off.
