I was wondering about that.

Here's a new one:
According to my observation, Northerners are sincere and honest; Southerners are skilled and quick-minded. These are their respective virtues. Yet sincerity and honesty lead to stupidity, whereas skillfulness and quick-mindedness lead to duplicity.
 
Of all the countries I was trying to think of that would be described as having a dichotomy like that along a north to south divide, (U.S., Egypt, Italy, India, China) it seemed the most likely.
 
Ooh here's one about a people that if they ever actually existed they certainly don't now
