NC PUNDITS: MATCH PREVIEW

SWEDEN vs. FINLAND

»Week four of the Nations Cup is one of the most exciting weeks yet, with a lot of exciting matches to be played. One of those matches is Sweden vs Finland. Two very strong nations, with a little rivalry, will face each other. Sweden has had some solid matches so far, but did lose to France, which Finland beat with a stunning performance. Finland however, had a really rough start, but so far haven't lost a single match yet. This week will be a very deciding week for Sweden, as this week will probably show whether or not they will stay in the upper bracket. Will they be able to perform under this massive pressure? Or will Finland once again show us a very strong performance?«

Sweden

A fair shot at reaching the playoffs...

With only 10 players the Swedish team is very small this year. This however does not mean anything, as their roster consists out of a lot of veteran players. With their players being at about the same skill level as the Finnish players, they will have to work together in order to shut down Finland. Robin, the Swedish commander, will most certainly have to make sure that the Swedes will play as a solid team. The Swedish archers are, once again, looking deadly. With RD, Berg, and Gubbo as archers, this trio is sure to do a lot of damage, and cause a lot of fear in the enemy team. As their infantries, Sweden will have Horace and Oliveran, who are both known in the scene as solid infantry players who, if left alone, will do a lot of damage to the Finnish team. They are backed up by Soul, Hugo, and Righty, who are all also very capable players. The cavalry department is the weakest factor for the Swedish team, as they have only three dedicated cavalry; Robin, Rodriguez, and Righty. These three cavalry are all skilled players, but they will have to do a lot of work since, most of the time, they will face 4 dedicated cavalry. However, Oliveran is played as 4th cavalry on open maps. That means that they do lack some infantry power, but it is either that or R3D as cavalry, and Swedish archers have more impact than their infantries, so this is the solution for their lack of cavalry. Sweden will have to rely on their experienced players to carry the team, if they want a shot at victory.

Finland

An important derby...

Finland, once again, has a very big and solid roster. With this roster size Finland is sure to have plenty of players in each class, this however, is not the case, as they lack in archers. With only two main archers, Sandorra and Meldo, both their archers have to show up in order for their line-up to be complete. If this is not the case, Bauglir, the Finnish cavalry player, will swap in as archer to complete their line-up. Finland's key to victory will surely be their cavalry players. With players such as Axl, Dopey, Bauglir, and Varangian as their main cavalry making their cavalry line-up very scary. They are backed up by Ryozu and Raven, who both can put up a great performance. Their infantry core consists out of ParasdoXa, mOnkey, SotaMursu, and Elazul. This is quite a solid infantry core who, if left untouched, will do a lot of damage. Their closed map performance is solid and will surely be a very important thing in their path to victory. Their open map performance however seems to be a bit weaker, making it difficult for them to beat Sweden on the open map, especially if they let Sweden's archers fire freely. They do have the cavalry advantage, which will have to be their deciding factor on the open map. The key to victory for this team lies with their archers and cavalry.

CONCLUSION

This match could go either way; both teams have their strong points and their weaknesses. Can Sweden's archers land the shots? Can the Finnish cavalry outplay the Swedish cavalry? It all depends on which team plays better on the day of the match. Streaming channel will be added, if there is any.

»With Finland closely winning against France last week, the outcome of this match will definitely be an interesting one. If France ends up winning against Wales, then there are two possible scenarios. The first one would be Finland defeating Sweden, and taking the first place of the group, with France second. However, if Sweden wins, there will be three teams with equal scoring and Round Difference will be used to decide between them. At this game, Sweden would come on top of Finland, with France having to win as many rounds as possible versus Wales to possibly take the 2nd, if not the 1st place.«

Thanks to Kane for helping writting this article. I'm not sure wherever or not Greed will stream it but it should be a good match overall so hopefully someone will catch it.

Nice!

One small inaccuracy - Wales withdrew from the tournament so France will not be playing a match against them.

They withdrawed tonight (we were supposed to play them this week), after the preview was posted Vara so there was no way anyone could have know, except Guru Darklight obviously.
