I'm beginning to tire of Grenade Spam, and hope to discuss it with the team to ban them outright or to remove them from Grenadiers. I am also going to request that Grenadiers will be toned down - less accurate but better in melee rather than good at everything. What are your views on this controversial topic?
 
Grenadiers are realistic. It's perfectly fine with me. However, I do agree their power needs to be toned down. Grenades shouldn't have such a high blast radius (if I remember correctly, they were more fragmentating than explosive historically), and they shouldn't be thrown so accurately.
 
You can't really get better accuracy with a musket can you? The Grenadier's possible higher reload rate comes with the side effect of being much more accurate. And I believe the grenade should fail to explode.

I'm thinking of banning them on EU_Beaver too.
 
I dunno, maybe have them cost alot? So spamming wouldn't be an option, also there are two of them, and you get them at the cost of your rifle bullets, so if you want them you can't shoot...
 
I think they have too big a blast radius, and are too cheap.

I was also just perma banned from the 22nd server for killing 10+ people with one grenade so yeah... They need to be nerfed if I can one shot kill that many people in an instant

I say remove the grenade completely, not just nerf ( Mabons, ye can discuss the ban on our forum, you may be unbanned ).

Wha? Grenadiers never used grenades in the Napoleonic period. The few times they were used was by sappers.
 
Lucan is right it seems. Therefore I don't see why Grenadier should be able to choose grenades anymore since they are not a critical element of this mod''s gameplay imo.
 
Keep grenades, make them less like a huge wall of fire, and reduce their blast radius. Also, try and make em a bit less laggy cuz they make u lagg a bit when u get killed by one.
 
How to fix nades:

1)reduce GREATLY the range they can be throwed! Seriously i can throw them to the other side of the map...

2)reduce GREATLY their accuracy! they are just grenades ready to explode, no time to aim well, so why this super-accuracy??

3)reduce GREATLY their blast! First time i saw them i was o_O Are they grenades or mini-nuke??
 
The most important thing grenades need is a timer instead of exploding on contact as they do now.

That is what makes them so powerful. If they had a variable fuse like the Baker Rifle but longer, then they would be much less powerful as people would be able to ge tout of the way. Keeping their use confined to situations where enemies are trapped in confined spaces such as bunkers and trenches, or not paying attention.
