Five days of talks in Mount Pelerin, Switzerland opened on Monday. The three major participants are : UN secretary general Ban Ki-moon, Greek Cypriot president Nicos Anastasiades and Turkish Cypriot leader Mustafa Akinci. There have been some speculation that Turkey could annex the north if no solution is found by the end of the year.
