Great Trader Achievement

Knowing from Warband that enabling cheats will disable achievements, I haven't used them. Yet the Great Trader achievement, the one which needs 1000000 thalers from trade, is not accumulating points. The similar one, Trader, worked just fine, as did other. I wonder whether this is a bug or a glitch. Someone was able to get this achievement in the current version of WF&S?

Also on a related note, how to get my men "dysentery" or other illness, so I could cure them bastards?

I don't know about the trader Achievement but you get dysentery for feeding poorly to your troops. A combination of beer, rotten beef and rotten pork usually does it.
