Great Mod no questions there but it's quite difficult dude. Specially when the bandits or other enemies gang-up on you. It destroys my strategy. Is there a way I can turn that off ( enemies on the map ganging up on me )  :?: :?: :?:

I dont know if you can turn it off but you can lure away armies and attack them when no other armies are around. Its not realy hard to do when you have good pathfinding( or hire a good scout)

Well THAT is the problem. My path finding skills is just around 4-5 and I have trouble finding the companion with a good Path finding skills. I guess I just have to make another character. BTW, what will you guys suggest on how many points I should out into my Path finding skills..??

Thanks in advance guys..

4-5 is good enough I think. I'm sure there are more then one companions with high pathfinding( cant remember names), try looking some more.

I suggest you to hire a lot of soldiers (but make sure you can pay they salaries if you don't want them to leave your party :???:) and buy some good weapons and armor.
Go to the arena if you need money, and hire Glydia the red, Ansen and Leslie because they are free (but you need to pay they salaries of 4 dinars) and they are level 1 so they can be great medics and engineers .
You will beat the bandits eventually .

Raveneye is a good scout, he's quite cheap and he got 4-5 pathfinding skill (Maybe he got 3... I'm not sure :???:).

I hope I answered your questions well .

hehe better to hire Sigismund, pretty nice tank with pathfiding(3), but - 4000 denars  Or Roland(4)... - 8000 money less

The mod is designed to be extremely difficult and really is aimed at the folks who have mastered Native and other mods and are looking for a fresh challenge.

The map is dangerous and you have to keep an eye out for who you engage and where.  There are many threads here that talk about approach, some very experienced players have revealed their strategy.  I would recommend searching for them if you are hitting a wall.

Pathfinding, like all other party skills, takes the highest skill of anyone in your party (including the player) and adds a bonus to it based on how many skill points the player personally has.  +1 @ level 2, +2 @ 5, +3 @ 8, +4 @ 10.  So a starting skill of 2 is effectively 3, a player skill of 5 is effectively 7, and a companion with 5 and player with 2 is effectively 6.  That's the meaning of the 5(+1) by the skill descriptions in the party window.
So I would say it's mandatory you get at least 2 pathfinding for yourself ASAP, and 5 is recommended for midlevels once you have some basic comabt ability.  Beyond that, I say let your companions do it, you need skill points for leadership and inventory that can't be farmed off on companions.  Pathfinding is also a prereq for some buildings, I don't recall which ones or what level, but anyone in your party will serve for that purpose.

I advise to raise your spotting skill. That way you will SEE hostile parties a way earlier and you will no run into them with your high speed or caught by them because you SEE them earlier. Spotting is equally important in avoiding beeing ganged upon as is Pathfinding.

Pathfinding 4-5 is about the highest I ever employ - usually one of my companions covers that skill.

Personally I wouldn't bother with either spotting or pathfinding. My character has 1 path but thats just cause I created him when I didn't really know what I was doing. This mod has some decent armours for low str so my advice is to hire Ansen, get his str up to 7 (can go to 10 but I don't bother with that atm) and just add to int so you can up pathfinding and spotting on him. When he gets a bit higher he can also cover engineer to so he becomes quite useful. Give him some decent armour, an ok horse, a good shield n Noldor sword or something and he can get a few xp on his own too.

I do the same with Leslie for trading and some other mule for tracking and then you can concentrate of useful skills and atts with other companions used as killers.
