Heya,
New to the forums here, and to be honest I joined just to post this idea for a major mod. Has anyone here read "God's Demon" by Wayne Barlowe? Aside from it being a wonderful novel, it seems to be tailor-made to be the basis for a M&B mod. The setting is Hell, and Major Demons (i.e. faction kings) are arrayed in a Caladrian-esque power struggle. Each Demon Major has a burning Sigil above his head that is used, among other things, to command troops. (for the mod sigils=banners). There are several great cities in the novel and smaller villages arrayed around them. The demons wear different skins for clothing and armor made out of bone. There are numerous types of units described in the book that are ready made for M&B. The mod would be M&B set in Hell. Even the book's plot would fit the gameplay of M&B. In the book Demon Major Sargatanas decides to conquer the other demon factions in Hell in order to win the attention of Heaven and restore his lost grace after finally conquering Hell. Throw in some custom banners, skins, and textures for the environment and there'd be a really unique mod with a metric ton of source material already available. I know absolutely NOTHING about modding other than how to play 'em, but I'd love to see this done and help in any way I can if there's a modder out there who'd like to pick this up!
