Yes. Search.

yes, but how can jousting lances be suitable for the games periods if Great lances are not?
the ongly notable difference is the kind of damage they do and great is a bit bigger,
I hope they'll change theyre mind and give us back our Great lances

Use a balanced pike. You can still use a shield with it, it has 205 reach and is faster than the old great lance
for weapon speed and it doesn't look that bad either!

SILENCE! If they remove my beloved jousting lance I'll throttle you.

They won't remove it because it's the only lance that has bludgeon(besides staff of course, and a staff is not suitable for use on a horse or jousting with it.)

Why don't they just re-add it, I don't see the harm to be honest, if people want to use it then they should at least have the option.

I've never experienced a Great Lance. What exactly is the problem to it? Does it happen to, say, be of a energy make? Like light sabres from Star Wars. Otherwise an argument about the technological advancement of arms and armor is teh dumb. When I think of great lance I imagine a jousting lance wholly of steel with a needle point instead of a four pronged head.

Lances were never (afaik) made wholly of steel. I would imagine mainly because of the weight issues of carrying them around. I think when jousting was required, most lances were actually cut on the spot from local trees, resulting in some, sometimes, strange lances (think about a lance made of a springy, lighter wood, vs oak for instance).

I could be wrong, however, since little of my experience with lances is based on historical fact.

I guess. However it could also be like a sword. A steel tip with a long tang, bolted to two halves of a wooden lance. On impact the steel head and tang would take the full impact and the wooden part would be unaffected.

Yeah, its gone alright, so is the Great Bourdiche... a fav of mine (though it can be added back in, thanks to the Editor).  As Lances we go have four of them Light Lance, Lance, Heavy Lance, and Jousting Lance, plus a lot of great polearms already mentioned.
