Graphics problem on a radeon 9600 se

I just finished getting my little brother set up with a new serial and forum handle and was introducing him to the game when I noticed that the horses made dust appear in their wake on his version. When I got home I attempted to tweak my graphics options because I did not remember seeing this effect on my own computer. I did find out that no matter what I try I cannot make this happen for my rig.
If it helps any im running a highly tuned custom rig using a dual radeon 9600 se setup(one onboard and the other agp)

I think you only see the dust when in the arena. in a normal fight you dont.

i could be wrong...

Unfourtunately that is also where the dust is missing.

well i see sometimes dust and sometimes not.
fight battles in arena for an hour maybe you'll see.
or check it on your brothers computer if every time you enter arena there is dust or not.
