I got GE 2.5 to get working PERFECTLY on my not so good laptop without any FPS drop. I only used GE Textures v2.5  and not GE Resources v2.51 ( because I use another one)  and HDR Add-on v1.1 for GE2.5.... I'm loving it...Now I can't wait to test this on my PC ( Still looking for a QUALITY MOINTOR )....

also I think that people can use GE 2.0 too (in my opinion,better that GE 2.5)

I've tested some time ago m&B in directx 7 for huge battles and the HDR works perfectly as dtx 9

It depends on your computer setup of course. I can run hdr+dx9 on full settings, but if you barely can run DX9, it won't really help to look for advice.

Does anyone else have the problem of the game crashing whenever I alt-tab and minimize the game?  I don't know whether this is a Graphical Enhancement issue or an HDR issue, though I turned HDR off and still had the same problem.

If you still hear sounds from the game, try pressing alt+enter.

Perhaps I should clarify--the issue is that I can't get back into the game once it's already minimized.  It crashes rather than returning to M&B.

Edit: I just deleted the HDR files, they were indeed the problem.

Edit 2: So I've been messing around with HDR some more, but when I switched to another enbseries file, the game became incredibly laggy, with a massive fps drop.  Switching around to the other enbseries files, including the original, had a similar problem.  I then removed all the HDR files, and re-extracted them to the M&B directory.  Nevertheless, the lagginess persists, even though HDR was working fine with my computer before!  In addition, HDR mode isn't the default when I start up M&B . . .I nstead start in the normal mode, and when I press Shift-F12 and I'm suddenly in super-laggy, super bloom mode.  Anyone have any advice or a problem similar to mine?

Does this do anything to the horses in the textures file?

Because i looked at my backup of the initial textures folder and it had all the horses such as "mailedwarhorse_chestnut.dds" (for example) in it yet in my current texture file it is not there and neither are the other horses dds'. I backed up each texture folder before i added another texture changing mod and it seems the horse texture dds' were missing before i added the "face texture" mod which was the second mod i added, the first being this mod.

Did this change anything? I ask as i am looking into the "better horses" mod and the files don't seem to be in the current textures folder to swap.

this is simply amazing amazing mod ...really sets MB to a high standard. One quick question though, is this rig good enough to play version 1.011 with GE 2.5+HDR maxed out:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 (4x2.83MHz)
4GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX260 869 MB (if i'm not mistaking that's the right amount of MB)
I haven't tested it out myself yet, since I don't have the actual computer...yet xD and I wanna know what I'm up to.

I am running the same setup but a Q6600 rather than a Q9550. I get 60 fps with everything maxxed so you will be fine.
