Graphic issues with weather

Hi there,

I was about to post this in the discussion forum because I think this is neither a bug nor something to bother the customer support with, but now I'll post it here anyway.

I realized some time ago that I have no weather effects when playing M&B on my desktop-computer. Until now I've played only nearly an hour on this system so I thought I could have missed these effects by bad luck. But after installing und trying M&B on my laptop, the second combat I had was with fog. This made me suspicious.

Now, after I played "Black & White 2" yesterday (this times first on laptop [wasn't this funny] then desktop) I realized missing the rain in B&W2, too.
I can hear the sound of the rain falling but I see nothing on screen, it is still sunny and clear.

So I think I have some problems with my graphic card (gainward fx 5900 xt). I also tried the newest nvidia driver (81.84) but it doesn't changed anything.

My only guess is, it could be a problem with the pixelshader. Some time ago I deactivated the pixelshade 2.0 and activated the 1.3 version for "Earth 2160" because the shader 2.0 has realy a performance problem in this game. But the registry entry I've changed should be only for "Earth".

Now I'm a little bit out of options because I've no idea what could be the reason.

So, to make it short.
Does someone has an idea what could be the cause for my graphic problem ?
And what could be a good solution because I'd like to play M&B with weather effects.

I'm not sure what render the rain is in.

Two quick things to check though. First of all, check the M&B config file, see if anything is turned off.
Secondly, it might be worth checking your graphics card properties. Try resetting to defaults if you've altered any options (you should be able to copy the default profile and apply it to M&B if you want anything in particular turned on\off).

Weather in M&B is randomised. You may try starting a few new games and see if you get fog or rain in one of those.

As far as I see there are no differences between the M&B config files at both systems.
The graphic card properties are the default, at least it says they are.

@armargan:
I've tried it a little bit more but there are still no weather-effects. Sometimes there seems to be some light fog but I can always look from one end of the battle map to the other.
Either I'm very unlucky or there is a graphic problem.

The next days I'll try some other drivers for my graphic card and if this doesn't help I'll reinstall my Windows. Maybe a strange adjustment was somehow made in my system and before I search for weeks for an unknown error I'll rather make complete new start. It's anyway about time to reinstall my OS.
