Gordulan's Barracks (improving the cs troop tree)

V1 introduced the calradian faction without balancing out the other factions, so now for V2 i'll be improving and expanding the native trees, and cutting down on the unnecesary trees, replacing them with the calradian faction where necessary, for example, the merc tree could be replaced with the slaver portion of my tree as well as the footman part. the bandits could upgrade into nords and khergits, the adventurers could be beefed up with the rhodok and/or swadian trees, so post your opinions and i'll do my best with them so everyone are able to have an expansive troop selection no matter the faction.

Note, This is entirely unoficcial.

V1: Since i've started making a custom faction, i've realised that the troop limit is 740 or the game gets a troop overflow error and for that i say RIP to one of the fraction troop trees. once again here's the tree

here we have the link to the completed troop tree, had to replace most of the default troops, bastards were useless anyways, and change the sentry and the militia to calradian ones, they wear red tunics though, so you can pretty much acess my tree from 4 different sources (male custom, female custom, male default, and female default)

Been absoloutley dying for some custom troop trees (I suck at both making, and implimenting them:razz:) If you could upload the troops.txt file, I'd uh, love you long time?
I could live without the Default troop tree

Going to try this now.  I'm assuming I have to make a new game and just select custom for faction type, right?

totally true, except you can use the default tree as well, the militia and sentry upgrade into archer and footman as well ^^, it's all for you lazy people  .

ok, i've played a little with the tree, and noticed that you get the medium-high tier troops too quick, i'm now going to reupload it with a few tiny tweaks, it is completely savegame compatible since i ony changed the levels of all the troops, so you can keep your current saves you have with my tree.

here's the link:

ok, started on the expansion of the trees, the khergits never received many troops in the native game with only 6 different troops, each culture will receive 16 different troops just to make it fair, but then the question falls upon me to ask, will there be parts of the female troops to upgrade to... :?:

Simple math actually

opinions would be welcomed for the percentage of female troops for each faction, I am intending for the swadian tree to be exclusively male, since their culture would be more of the women staying at home and worrying for their husbands. The bandits will have some of the disgruntled knight's wives though. Stay tuned and express your opinions people.

Do you think you could update this for the new version of Custom Settlements? I used the troop file from the link in the first post, but it doesn't quite work correctly. When I train peasants, the only troops I get are Calradian Veteran Footmen (I think that's the name). I've also noticed that all adventuring parties consist of Calradian recruits (which is what I should get at the settlement when I finish training them). So I'm guessing the new version of custom settlements must have a troop file which is different than before.

I added all the new heroes to the new version so yes, it is different. To my knowledge the txt files use line numbers as a reference so if the upgrade of peasants points to troop 300 (as an example) it now upgrades to whatever now is troop 300. While I was creating the add-on in one case instead of peasants I got bonus chests :???:

Hmmm, given that wickedshot plans about 500 heroes this puts a severe limit on the troops.
