@Shatari backlinking and various forms of spam is hidden but i don't mean directly feeding you spam just it is more hidden even though it is similar.

Facebook keeps forgetting that I don't want **** sent to my email everytime someone on my friendslist or a group I'm in hiccups. Google has sent a grand total of 1 email since I created my account. It was the "Hello, and welcome to gmail" message. Winner Google.

On facebook, go to Account -> Account Settings -> Notifications and take everything off.
I did it and it worked.
As for the Google+ thing, I'm not sure. We'll just have to wait and see, it really depends on the number of new features.

I've heard some beta hand outs already but the requirements is 18+ which sounds good though .

Resets periodically? Huh, never had it reset for me.

It seems every time they overhaul something, they change the way the damn notifications work. And it always seems to happen whenever I don't check my mail for a while.

Oh, and you can no longer edit most group notifications (replies to posts that you made, or new posts within the group) from that page. You have to open a sub-page or go to each individual group's page to do that.
