Infantry, make your men make 5 rows and stand closer(2x).

3.Order them to melee only as the cav gets close for much better stabby action

Being on higher point will help because cav will be slower getting up so their attacks will not be as dangerous and you have more time to have your boys stab them

(if u can find a hill hold that position since cav cant charge up hill faster then on flat ground)
1.save your shot
2.five rank
3.close rank
4.hold fire
5. fire at incoming cav
6 change to melee for better anti horse situation instead of reloading then die

Once the cav impact/get near/with your tight formation order your men to charge in melee, this ensures maximum amount of bot bayonets heading for stuck cavalry. It also means that bots will not be stationary targets for the rest of the oncoming cav and will find the closest targets and aim their bayonets at them making ride bys harder. Make sure your men don't disperse to far if you do this. You may have to occasionally call them back to hold position. If your outnumbered by cav however it may not be the greatest idea.
