Who's to blame here really though EA or the morons who buy it anyway ? They said it before when they won worse company of the year, they keep making money by doing what they do so they will keep doing it until its no long profitable.

Well EA has published a few good games that I won't boycott just because the people at EA are massive scumbags.

You have two options; rate 5 stars or 1-4. Clicking on 1-4 stars directs you to a support site of EA, so you can give feedback but won't actually give any rates on the App store and whatnot.

Apparently, you can directly rate the app on the store, even after you have sent feedback.

"We wanted to make it easier for more players to send us feedback directly from the game if they weren't having the best experience. Players can always continue to leave any rating they want on the Google Play Store."

Basically, you gotta make some extra effort to rate it poorly.

Worst company as voted by the internet (and only for the US I believe, which doesn't matter since they would lose no matter the country).

I really don't see how someone could really hate a company for doing what most other publishers do anyway, there are very few exceptions to this in gaming I can think of (CD Projekt being one of the only good remaining publishers I can think of).

I am surprised people actually would pay for in app purchases in any mobile game. I wish I had started developing mobile apps a long time ago to have become rich off of morons

Well you gotta stop doing that. All the people buying the annual EA Sports games also help prop up EA and it's dickish customs.

I really hate that "worst company of the year" competition. **** EA and all, but there are companies that are completely ****ing up the lives of their customers or their employees. The moment EA lost to Bank of America, the competition had no credibility left. The fact that EA did it not only twice, but thrice is even worse. The "award" is completely undeserved by them.

Yeah, they can't obviously enforce what people do if they do it from the store, but they've built an in-app review mechanism that only directs you to the store to actually review it if you choose 5 stars. Though you can choose 5 stars in the game and then choose anything you like once it proceeds you to the store to actually review it. But obviously joe average with the media-literacy of a half-rotten cod won't figure out what's happening.

I shall repeat myself. I do not support EA or their scumbag ways, but I'm not going to deprive myself of a good game just to prove my point.

Also, I've never bought a sports game in my life.

I'm fairly sure their Mobile "Gaming" division is fairly separate from say DICE or Bioware. Even though they have the same head management/CEO of the company, I don't think that not buying their other developer's games just because their mobile games suck is really necessary. Assuming you actually really like their other games, personally I've been getting tired of them and losing what little interest I had left.

This is very true.

No doubt, given the audience, it's not a good way to give these kind of titles.

Although, to be fair, EA practice is awful by industry standard, but BoA practices is pretty normal, now that we know a bit more how wall street works.

I'm sure if we let musicians decide, something stupid like Apple, because of the iTune or the iPod or whatever else.

Well, glad to see there will be more sims expansions on the way

You're not going to die if you miss out one "good" game. Or even a dozen. This sentiment that I GOTTA PLAY THAT GOOD GAEM is one of the reasons why publishers get away with being assholes.

I will play whatever games I please. Whether or not they're related to EA. If EA makes a good game, I will buy it. Not to support EA, but to play a good game that has no reason to be boycott other than the fact that it was made by EA or is related to EA.

That's already reason enough to boycott it.

This is literally the reason anyone with some intellectual prowess takes the statement "Well EA was made worst company of the year!!!" not seriously.

Goddamn EA publishing some bad games that I had to pay $60 from my monthly disposable income! They're worse than those bankers who evict people out of their homes for literally no reason! I want my $60 back EA!

It's not for no reason. The reason is greed. And anyways, I think EA's employee abuse has already been well-documented in this thread, that's a major factor as well.

EA has factories in China, just the same as other companies in electronics, so if you want employee abuse, it shouldn't be too hard to find.

I was more referring to the 100-hour work weeks for programmers, and not just during "crunch time". Also the story I posted about the fate of the Command and Conquer Generals 2 team gives some insight into what EA's business practices are like.

Oh, aye, I didn't mean to diminish their capability for employee mistreatment in the U.S.

Can't imagine how many game developers and even middle-management people they've made homeless as a result of extremely sudden firing or lay-offs.
