Possibly, and also he probably was referring to other things since it was at a business conference or something. Bobby Kotick went through a similar incident a few years ago when talking to investors and had to explain that the language he used meant something quite different in business speak than how most people use it.

The same problem occured with The settlers 7, its a shame indeed they insist on permanent online connection but dont have the infrastructure or the will to do it right.

Not directly related to Microtransactions, but I guess you could say this mocks EA - Always Online DRM well enough.

Hahaha.

But yeah, not a surprise at all. Well, except that Mythic got their name soiled like this. I would have expected some no-name Asian studio to work on it, or something.

The biggest gem about this whole fiasco is that you can't rate the game at anything but full five stars.
Anything less will take you to their support page instead... :???:

TB did a video on that, thankfully a game not owned by EA got kickstarted and seems to be the real successor, check out War For The Overworld.

Hahaha, what?

You have two options; rate 5 stars or 1-4. Clicking on 1-4 stars directs you to a support site of EA, so you can give feedback but won't actually give any rates on the App store and whatnot.

wow, that's smooth.

Theres some footage near the end Nahkuri.

The term "cow clicker" has never been more relevant.

Gotta hand it to EA though for their amazing innovation. There's nobody even near their levels of utter bull****. Microsoft and Ubisoft really got to step it up.

Who knows, maybe they'll take the Worst Company of the Year Award for the third time in a row. They certainly seem like shoe-ins at this point.
