Good LoTR mod??

Anyone know of a good lord of the rings mod that has been released or is currently in development?

Last Days! That was an amazing mod, and still perhaps my favourite. They were so creative with it.

I played it since it was first released, but I didn't even realise they were porting it!

Anyway, back on topic; I highly recommend Last Days if/when they do port it

Last Days definately... BTW the LOTR movies blow. They are so screwed up they just stray way too far from what tolkiens books depicted.

So... you want the movies to be even longer? 
I'm sorry, but there is only so much you can adapt from a book to a movie, and still have it in a somewhat reasonable time-length. Well, I found it entertaining, so, saying you are so entrenched in your view, I'll have to be content with that.

Oh, we all know that films ave budgets and stuff.  But no matter what, the movies would be 3.5 times better if they followed the books exactly.

the amount of film it would take to shoot the movie following every detail of the books would take up 90% of the budget than you have to get enya to sing a bunch of great songs for the soundtrack then you have to pay the medical bills of the actors that did all their stunts by themselves, yes i know this because the special features of the movie narrated by peter jackson said aragorn "the actor" actually broke his foot kicking a helmet in the second movie then ran for 1 hour over the mountains in a wide-view shot. The movies had some of the most devoted actors that hollywood has ever seen so all in all its a good movie + epic battles

Only 2 LoTR mods I thought there would have been loads more.

And the films were good IMO they might not have paid attention to lore at times but they were still good. Although its hard not to notice there flaws.

The OP's question has been answered (or would have been if he had searched first). Thus this thread has served its purpose. It may be best to take general LOTR discussion elsewhere (though I'm guilty too), some may think this is just clutter.

As for only two mods, there's a Silmarillion-era (First Age) mod which is dead or hibernating. There's also a Dead Army minimod for .751 (I think). Perhaps when The Last Days is done, people can make a book-oriented Last Alliance based on it. Or not.

Agreed, I can't think of any movie that was better that book.
Seems to me fans will always complain the movie sucked compared to the book.
