Hi Chel and all who contributed to this mod. I had not the honor to try EGII and I, but I like the difficulty and impressive battles, a real challange
I have played for about 3 hours but have one huge problem....how do you guys keep up with cost of your party. I have 5 swadian men at arms (and thats not even the highest tier!) which alone make up around each 560  My Vaygir archers cost around 112 each, wich is just the 3 tier I believe. All in all I spend 5000 each week for 60 troops and they are on an average rather low still. Since tournaments are no pushover neither in EG  and the hordes you can hunt down have rather low equipment values, at least to what I have encountered so far, how do you suppose to gather an advanced enough party to join a faction and hunt down lords? If I continue with this weekly cost I will be bankrupt in the next two weeks and that with a below average party, with which I would not dare to attack a lords party

man at arms are very expensive, they are calvary, you need to feed the horses as well. My suggestion is to stick with low tier units, I have done it, I killed enemy lords with only foot soldiers and crossbowmen, use tactics, position yourself and loose all your arrows before melee combat. You can lower their forces alot to garantee victory.

Calvalry is REALLY expensive as it should be, like people said on the main topic, stick with lower tier units make tons of money killing mercenaries, bear clan and bandits, it takes time, its a realistic mod, you will probabl have to spend like 3 months hunting them so you can start an army of higher tier. Personally I became a vassal pretty early still I did hunt bandits and mercenaries, answered the call whenever they asked and got some nice loot out of it, run from lords and attack caravans and patrols.

Man hunting. Unfortunately the ruthless man hunter was cut from this new release, but it is a very reliable way to get money. I haven't tried the salt mine slave camp thing, but it could be good for n'oice passive income.

thanks for the feedback

this is all true, but prices are going to be made slightly easier to handle in the next patch.

Maintaining a decent-sized army with moderately high units is tough, to be sure.  It does help if you can boost your Charisma and Leadership a bit.  A few points here and there and my weekly cost plummeted.  Also, try to be resting in a tavern/town when it's payday.
