Whoever said that computer games in AU were overpriced - you are 100% right. Went past a pc game shop a few days back, decided to have a look, and YES! Amazingly, games WERE 99.95AU$!! That is approximately 120$ back where I used to live, and an average new game was between $40-$60 (which is around 34-50AU$!). Not only that, there were plenty of promotions such as 'buy 2 get 1 free'- meaning that for 120$, or 100AU$, you could get THREE new games!

Not that I came here to play PC games, so it makes no difference to me, however I now feel sorry for a few people here.. (And suggest E-Bay)..

Another thing, my friend who lives here saw sign somewhere once, (which he passed during a bus journey which lasted a few days lol) which said - "15'000 acres for sale at $1 per acre".... Sure it was in the middle of nowhere.. practically a desert... but just IMAGINE the possibilities my friends! (including the possibility of my friend BSing :)

Any case, will drop in now and then, most likely once I get to the place I'm supposed to eventually go to on the 6th or whenever, or once I get access to a comp again : Gd hunting all

That's the thing, it is in the middle of BLODDY NOWHERE i tell you, NOWHERE, even if it is cheap, it would cost you less to buy closer to civilastion then build on it, because it would cost a fortune to build in teh middle!

By the way, i mean it was probably two days drive to a town of a size over 1000 people, and it's a bloody dry, big desert, not like in Arizona in the US.

Note: Ha Ha all of you U.S. people, that aircraft carrier that was here, one of it's planes fell into the ocean (no one was killed). 40 million dollars. Think i might go and salavage it. "F/A - 18 hornet for sale, slight water damage, worth 40 million, will sell for $1000 or nearest offer"

You'd spend most of your money carting in water probably, in fact, we could probably sell the plane for more that 40 mill, because some shady countries/organisations can buy them because of some weapon limitation of the US. we could sell them for more then 40 million

Seriously, Australia is the same size of america, minus alaska (and Iraq )
but we anly have 22 million people while america has about 200 million people I think. Now consider that over 90% of Australian's live within 300 kilometers (200 odd miles) of the coast, that is how bare it is.
But still, what you have to do is buy the land, or 'take' it, and then declare indpendance from the commonwealth, arm yourselves and get followers and then you'll never pay tax/anything like that again, until they send a company of troops out there (Which you won't kill, because you like Australian's, don't you ) or you could agree to become Australia's vassal, or just buy the land and develope it and sell it or lease it out, but there would be a lot more politics involved in that!

Any way, I have hinted in a few posts that I'm going away for a year, to study a course (regarding horses obviously) for 1 year. Anycase, that's happening today, (in approx 1 hour and 38minutes to be exact) so I would bid you all worthless mortal slaves..... err..... friends a heartwarming farewell : Hopefully I would get a job offer after the course, or do some other stuff, and ultimately the 1 year would stretch into 'the_rest_of_my_life'....

horses? that brings back a lot of nightmares to me.
(i had to follow about 60 wild horses for an entire cold cold winter to study their behavior)

The USA has 312 million people I beleive, maybe more. Third most populated contry in the world. China and India both have over a billion each. Canada has 36+ million people, most lviing inland of the ocean but a lot live in South and Eastern Ontario and Quebec.

Actually, or according to the 'official' population data, indonesia comes in third and the U.S. is forth It's a collection of islands North of Australia, and I mean lots of islands.
Don't think that we will be able to saave the plane though, it's in pretty deep ocean water, i think 12000 feet or so I was told, but if anyone has a deep sea submersiable, I'll bring you in on the team
