Going On Strike!!!

Ok, i've been doing a bunch of missions from the count in Wercheg or whatever, and i just completed a very boring mission and was awarded the rank of seargent. And guess what...i get...a whole 90 gold per week!!!! Can we not fix this? I mean, wouldn't 2k be a more realistic and balanced amount given the relative price of things? Like, multiply the wages per rank by about 25. He gave me a mission to bring him 17 hunter horses, and it ended up costing me over 120k...now sure, he reimbursed me for the amount, but my point is you can't achieve a half way decent rank right at the beginning of the game. So you couldn't use this to get rich quick or anything. Just seems like after hours of doing boring errands i should make more than just barely enough to pay the wages of 2 of my knights.

I don't think that 2000 GOLD COINS would be 'realistic', but I see your point. There should atleast be an extra zero behind the wage.

The wages should be linked with the size of your party - a lone guy can't claim the same pay as one who brings 30 fully armed knights along.

And maybe have some kind of flag to lowr the pay if you don't fight ennemy troops that week.

the simplest way would be to link it with you troops's pay - so the higher the number and quality of the troops, the higer the wages.

Well, idk about that. He's kind of paying you to get the jobs done basically, its up to you whether it takes just yourself, or 20 knights to help. But i do like the idea of getting more for killing enemy troops that week...or less for not killing any, either way. Or maybe you could just get a low base pay, plus money per enemy you kill. Idk, just something that pays better than it does now, to give you some incentive to do his tasks. Also, i think troops should cost ALOT more in wages, right now i have 51 vaegir knights, and its only costing me less than 2.5k per week. Comes out to about 350g per day, which is pennies late game.

isnt that about the same as the count pays you? 2.5k / 51 = 49... per week per troop?

i agree though, they dont pay much for the cost of items in the game. but in reality its not bad pay for the time period.

I totally agree with DaLagga. Wages are pointless now. Besides, an in game week takes me more than two hours in real life. I'd like to see exponents of the current wages.

The faction quest system is entirely unrewarding. Also, the "buy x amount items" quests shouldn't force you to use your own money to purchase (i know he repays you, but often i dont have enough money in the first place to purchase). Instead, he should fund you from the get go.

Of course, players could exploit this and take all these types of quests just to get money in the first place, but there could be restrictions applied. For example, we could have an option: "Complete quest by any day with your own money" or "Complete quest in one week with my money". This way, wrong use of that loan could be penalized - the player has to make up all that money for the Count at the end of the week.

As of now i never do the buy x items quests because they take so damn long and require such inordinate amounts of money that they are simply not worth any conscious effort. Sure, if the quest is "get three glaives" and I happen to come across one at a nearby merchant, I'll purchase it and see if i can find two otehrs. But if it requires me scouring the countryside to get a completely insignificant amount of experience and a few coins I won't bother at all.

They are the best way to make money in the game, profit margins of 200%.

I just did a 14 warhorse quest and got 240k.
