Glamour, giving mount and blade a more warfare-true tint

Just a first note that the devs probally won't have time for this, however, I still want to suggest it, I feel obligated to do so

Since you are a commander of an army, and either in service of the swadians or the vaegir, it would be very cool if you could leave heraldic marks. Since this game doesn't use formations, seperate banners would be quite useless, but imagine if you could have a banner on the back of your mighy war horse, letting your enemies know who's coming. (Sure, drummers and trumpeteers would be nice too, but let's just leave that for M&B2) Another cool thing would be if you could wear capes and/or cloacks, it definately would look cool. Imagine if you could have your own sign on your banner and on your cape, made with photoshop. Wouldn't that add up to the athmosphere?

Finally, as a side glamourous addition I'd really like to see sheathed or "put asside" weapons, like a lance on the back of the horse, shields and sword either sideways or on your back, that would be really cool.

The gameplay is fine atm, maybe it's getting time for a glamour update

(And for all you fun guys, I'm very manly)

Yeah, that's a cool idea that yours truly has suggested in various forms himself. Usually by way of having blacksmiths able to fashion heraldic devices, unique armor, banners, etc.

It would add some great atmosphere to have a shield that you've been able to edit in-game to carry your device or have an allied trooper bearing your banner.

In some form, however simple and basic, I would appreciate and use it also.

something like that would be most effective in multiplayer which wont exist in m&b1, people competing for best looking one. itd be pretty nice

It's not really about competition, rather the athmosphere in combat (but still, hell, in multiplayer it would be awesome :))

I was playing arena today, and couldn't help feel that perhaps with some random npc's standing in the stands viewing you, it would perhaps feel more like an arena. Since we're talking about beautifying, I figured I'd add that in.
