GK Must Change

You sure made this thread fast. I hope you realize this will not further your goal at all. I was happy to discuss the rule with you and pointed you to our forums where you could present your case and ask if the rule could be changed, but instead you decided to come here and stir up yet another anti-GK thread.

I mean, wK sort of attempted changing the rule at one point (or at least gain permission around it)... but the idea was kind of rejected

The idea was to get a bunch of new players caught up with the basic mechanics of the game and inform them about the things warband and it's competitive scene had to offer... but instead we just ended up pulling in a few that happened to stroll through POM and got filled up with a bunch of already fairly active players just trying to speed up their learning process 

It's a shame though, we really did want to get some brand new players interested but... that time has come and gone and the mentorship will be officially coming to an end soon.

I read through lagstro post and really all he was doing was saying hey help us help everyone by helping people by training them. and this is what lagstro recieved

Right off the bat lagstro is being shot down. Just because GK members think that everyone in the competitve scene are rude and in gk terms " asshats" ( earlier today on GK siege ). They will go against helping people get better at the game just because they think competitve players are all the same. And also the GKs aren't angels themselves.

Then he receives this.

We applaud your selfless initiative; however, it remains the intent of this clan to provide resources to the community at large and to recruit and offer training opportunities utilizing those resources. As such, and for the sake of consistency in the application of our policies, we find that we must deny your request and wish you luck in your endeavors.

And even the holy great lords spits in lagstro face by saying yeah we like that you are willing to help the new players but we do trainings already so no

Exactly, in my opinion GK doesn't care about the community as long as their "11 year old" ran servers still have some-what active players. (Self centered clan) That doesn't give anyone chances at all.

Also here is what the "council of lords" said to lagstros attempt to improve the skill of players in the community

Basically, the GK lords don't want other clans helping the community because they have it all handled, really GK is doing a pretty bad job at keeping "the intent of this clan to provide resources to the community at large and to recruit and offer training opportunities utilizing those resources."

I agree with Winnie, on the GK forums you are cornered and shot down almost immediately this forum gives you more of the community's opinion rather than GK's.....

If you have a valid suggestion, you should not have to be concerned with being "cornered". If you make a thread with a title like "GK Hurting the community", you are cornering them. I agree with you on the both points (though tbh maybe POM should switch to Medium) but you have really handled this the wrong way.

To anyone who thinks it is "cool" to bash GK and GK server admins:
It is not funny to misspell words
It is not funny to make fun of people based on what clan they are in
Your jokes are worse than your sense of humour and you are hurting the community infinitely worse than GK is.

GK Siege is the most well-run server in NA, hands down. If you have had trouble with unreasonable admins, chances are you need to 1)read my points above, and/or 2) read GK's very specific, simple, well-documented and easily accessible server rules. I have been playing on GK servers for months now and have never had trouble with the admins, and only find them unreasonable when it comes to issues like, "what is the difference between race and racism?" (aka why do you keep banning TJE BEAR JEW) as well as "why can't people recruit on your servers?"

Otherwise GKs are good people, and try hard to maintain a very busy server, a talent which apparently nobody in NA but them ever got the hang of.

You get banned for recruiting on a Pub server i just completely disagree with that. We need to help improve the remnants of the community until banner lord, not tear it down by "damning" the competitive feel to the game. Personally i think that's why the community is still here which is a reason I formed Akaria.

No one is bashing the GKs or the GK server......We (well I) are/am just saying they are making it harder and harder for new clans to get members and because of this, they aren't helping the community....I mean the game is 5 years old....The community isn't getting bigger, it's getting smaller and smaller. Therefore they should allow recruiting to help improve the competitive community!

Ok to sort this out 1) if there is any misspelled words pardon spelling I do try to keep my spelling top notch. 2) I have not posted this thread because I think it's is "cool to bash GK." To be honest I respect most of the GK like chainsawpunisher. And also there players have "bashed" us when they say that everyone in the competitive scene are a bunch of rude trolls or "asshats" 3) titling the thread "GK hurting the community" isn't really cornering nor is posting it on these forums. The title is added to grab the attention of GK and to help get the point through rather it may be a harsh or not. 4) POM shouldn't be played on Medium. (Assuming your EU) just because you guys play on medium and because people say it is the normal speed doesn't mean it is the best or for the best.  And 5) last but not least, as stated above If posted on their forums I would of been cornered where on here everyone can share their opinion and not just GKs. Also if read some of the comments it shows that not do people agree with me but there are a lot that side with Gk on matters. So do I feel like anyone is cornered? no as of right now it is still a open field.

It's true that it was stupid to reject it. It's stupid to have that rule in place at all anymore, and I don't know why they would ever turn down an offer like that.

But what you are suggesting is different. You want them to change a rule, not allow for an exception.

And to add on to that this is actually being debated and discussed a lot more the. If I would of posted it on GK forums. Because everyone is here to discuss it not just a group of "lords" to discuss it privately

It's true that it was stupid to reject it. It's stupid to have that rule in place at all anymore, and I don't know why they would ever turn down an offer like that.

But what you are suggesting is different. You want them to change a rule, not allow for an exception.

Which is even more reason to do it on here if they turn Down a offer like lagstro and the mentorship program just because they do trainings already for the public what's makes them want to change the rule in the first place. Ok listen doing it this way is so its not just one person is come to them and saying it would strongly help the community if you did this and it would be much appreciated if you did so. This way it shows that multiple people want it.

Perhaps I was a bit quick to assume, but I am aware that GK very rarely uses the TW forum and perhaps you don't know this.  In their clan thread the last post by a GK member was 9 months ago, and that was little more than a link to their own forum in reply to some of the questions. They have become quite separate, though I'm sure some of their members also have forum accounts they use regularly.

That is why I have already planned to send the thread post to GK members like chainsaw and also after discussion and debate has happen like we have been doing for a while now. I was going to post the link to this thread on their forums. You know right after I could actually sign into my account but 10 to 1 I'll have to make a new one. Although the point still stands why I have still posted it here.
