GK MUST CHANGE​

Message from the people​

    Gk hurting the community with their rules and standards. To begin with they have all of their servers on Medieum Combat Speed so thats what all the players that play on their servers are used too. It's easy for a guy who plays on Fastest Combat Speed servers all the time to go on GK and get to the top of the leaderboards and annihilate a bunch of people on Medium Combat Speed servers. Although a player who plays on ANY GK server all the time can easily be on the top of the leaderboards kill everyone on their servers, but the moment they go to Fastest Combat Speed server they are at the bottom of the leaderboards and get annihilated. They are preventing the new players, let alone the regular Pleb players to actually get better when most of the population is on their servers. Truly I have no ideas why they have their servers on servers on Medium Combat Speed, people have said that they do it because they don't want their players to get beat too hard or killed to much and not comeback, but people stick get killed a lot on their servers and comeback. Same with USA_Central_POM they have their server on Fastest Combat Speed and people get killed a lot but yet still comeback and play. I just don't see the benefits of playing on Medium Combat Speed.

    Also the second issue of things is how GK doesn't allow recruiting on their servers. Now I have asked why they don't allow recruiting, and they have told me " cause you don't go on someone else's server and recruit." Now as much as that is true they are themselves hypercritical, other people alone with myself have seen GKs go on USA_Central_POM and try to recruit people. So tell us GK why will you prevent recruiting on your servers, when you know the NA competitve scene is fading away and you run the most populated servers in the community, but yet go and recruit on other people's servers. You guys prevent clans to recruit on your server and where do they have to turn. They could create their own server and recruit on there, but only get like 5 players a day on it because everyone is on GK. You basically make it impossible for new servers to start up. This is a issue that has to stop, GK is preventing new clans to start up within the community and hurting players more then they are helping them.

But... but... GK has always been on medium speed

Like medium?  Go to GK.  Like fastest?  Go to POM.  Problem solved.

GK is free to make whatever rules they like, hence they own the server...

Another solution to this problem is make your own Siege server with fastest, or make your own battle server with medium speed!

Agreed Winnie, even though EU plays on medium speed doesn't mean it improves the NA community, especially the clan recruit thing. I know that GK siege is the top populated server in NA and not allowing clans to recruit, which is somewhat sad because this hurts struggling new clans get active members and allowing the competitive scene grow!!

I dislike the idea of banning people for recruiting on their servers. They are the most populated and it's kinda bull that you will get banned for recruiting on PUB servers.

Agreed, I just asked if a player wanted to join and an admin said he doesn't care about the competitive scene and new clans. This is dumb because the members of the clan need to respect other clans for trying to last in competitive while they don't care at all...

Pretty much. If they pay for the server, they can do whatever they want with it.

The only thing I would agree with you on is that GK really should take down the rule that you can't recruit on their servers. Getting some of those mindless players into a clan that can teach them that the right mouse button can actually help in fights would be beneficial to GK servers and the NA scene as a whole.

Getting some new players interested in the competitive scene could revive the NA scene a bit, though I am not so sure anymore; looking at the clans that will be leaving soon and looking at some of the ones that will remain... I am not so sure if the NA scene will even be that welcoming or nurturing anymore. Hopefully it is, and if a good amount of players do get put into new clans, perhaps a new sense of competitiveness will be rekindled here as many of them will be starting off at the same level... absolute zero xD

I was happy to discuss the rule with you and pointed you to our forums where you could present your case and ask if the rule could be changed, but instead you decided to come here and stir up yet another anti-GK thread.

This is why we much do this fast. And yes well a lot of the newer clans will be at the same skill that will not be the same skill level over all but as long as there are clans they will grow to get better and the clans that are decent right now will still continue to grow and actually I'm currently trying and helping new clans grow like BoV, and some other yet unhear of clans. Nurturing isn't a thing that happenings in Competitve scenes it's all must and will always end up naturally. Yes a clan can get help from a other clan but that's only goes so far. It depends on how the clan decide to use that knowledge ths was given to them. Like PoN tbh we were compete **** about 2 years ago and we are just now starting to get good and doing well. We have long way to guy but we stuck it out through all the crap with have been through. Through the constant insults like " PoN is bad", " you guys are as bad as PoN ". Through the taunting, the harsh behavior of those better then us. But we are still here and I will not just fade away like the clans are today. And if the first step is making this post then I'm Damn well gonna do it.

To be completely honest with you I made the thread before I even had that conversation with you. And why post it on there yes I could debate with you guys on your forums but what's good is that gonna do when I'm doing it on your home turf. I was going to post it on your forums but it is better to post here so that you guys can hear from everyone and not just from me. I would rather fight in a open field where anything can happen then a traped with my bad against the wall where I'm just fighting for my life. This thread was made so that not just me can put my say into this but everyone else as well.

Their server, their rules whether good or bad.

However, if the game was new I wouldn't mind them having such a rule, but it's almost 5 years old and to still have such a rule is bordering on absurd. Anyway the GK server has more problems than just recruiting policies *cough instantly banned for E kicking an admin one time*

Only actual problem with Gk is that they give admin in their sever to bunch of 11 yo kids that feel they need to ban everyone that step out a line a lil, which when ur new to game and dont understand what u doing wrong and feggots ban u out of nowhere you prob are not staying in na or the game. Otherwise maps are fun and medium speed is not to bad for it.

I mean, wK sort of attempted changing the rule at one point (or at least gain permission around it)... but the idea was kind of rejected

The idea was to get a bunch of new players caught up with the basic mechanics of the game and inform them about the things warband and it's competitive scene had to offer... but instead we just ended up pulling in a few that happened to stroll through POM and got filled up with a bunch of already fairly active players just trying to speed up their learning process 

It's a shame though, we really did want to get some brand new players interested but... that time has come and gone and the mentorship will be officially coming to an end soon.
