giving troops to other lords?

i have many troops in my "cannon fodder" group, who survived and now require a ridicules amount of upkeep (probably i shouldn't have upgraded them)
so now i got options either reinforce some of my fellow lord armies with them or give them away to a trainer in case i'll ever need them again.

question is, do the they pay for soldiers as much as i do, if so will i be helping them or hurting them (those are not our national troops)?

Much to my personal dismay, lords do not have *quite* such an accurate economic model to themselves. So no, you'll not be hurting them in the least.

Or, well, maybe higher-tier troops ARE a drain on their wealth. It's possible, but will be compensated for by their improved performance in auto-calc. So afaik, while there MIGHT be some financial effect, you won't actually put them at a real disadvantage.
