The exact words of a frustrated Euro on the Aussie server.

Anyways, to stop this being spam, I'm gonna ask a common question. What the hell caused them to crash/go down? How long will they be down for, and while it keep happening?

I've noticed that all the servers sort of crash at same time as the day before. And at the end only Conquest and Battle US servers were left. I don't think they are crashing... I think they are going down for something big

I understand the frustration and hey, I would like to be playing too. However I disagree on such capitalised curseword at the topic and by no means do I mean that I'm a 'saint' or I do not curse at all, cursing to me has it's place and time but this just isn't it.

I don't know. None of the users here know nor do admins, only the developers who have been very quiet about this.

Actually few of the servers just disappaered from the public server list for awhile while people were playing in them (I can confirm this to be true as I asked the people in the server who said that they were playing the whole time without any kind of breakdown of the server nor the need to reconnet) but bounced back two or three times before finally crashing. I'm not sure if there's 'something big' going on like an update, could be that the devs are just trying to find the problems with the servers and as one goes down, they change something and then put the server back on, just to find out if the thing that they fixed was the right one. When they finally do, I'm guessing that a new update is coming. But before it, we are just going to have to be patient and I can't stress the word enough of how we are still betatesters and lucky to be even testing the game, whenever the servers are up.

Mate we were just as frustrated as you before our servers went up but I don't remember any of us from the oceanic region making topics with such unnecessarily offensive titles. I'm not saying don't swear, I'm saying you didn't need to say ****, nor did you need to type the whole title in caps.

Since when are we promised the servers will be up at any point in beta, you do realize this is a beta right?

if this topic was answered by developers, even in the way : "we have no idea what is happening but will try to put them back but dunno when", i'm quite sure it would clarify the things much enough, that there wouldn't be topics like this one.

Or maybe if you guys realized its the damn weekend we wouldn't need to have this meaningless conversation. Devs dont work weekends and this is beta, they don't have to do anything or tell us anything basically. Everyone should stop whining about this since being in beta is a privilege not a right.

I agree with this topic. Although it's a beta, some feedback from a dev would be nice, if it were only 'we don't have a clue'.

I mean, 60% of the time, the servers are down ALL OF THE TIME

Oh snap. My crappy wording has lead people to think I said it. I said a frustrated Euro. Not me. I still share my thoughts with him though... Not one word from the devs as to why their servers have crashed 3 times in 3 days.

None of us paid for warband, the opportunity to play/test it should be looked at as a gift and therefore we can't complain if it doesn't work how we want it, when we want it. When you were a child if your Christmas present's batteries died did you scream and swear at your parents about it? I sincerely hope not.

Yeah but how can we beta test if theres no servers

You don't, so stfu already.

We already had this same problem like 2 or 3 times now (always on the weekend).

Booya also got himself muted for complaining so much.

They have a second job as ATM machines. Apart from US6, that dirty slut is moonlighting as a Dalek.

Ok I'm gonna sig that

I'm frustrated too but don't go around cussing the internets. I instead bang my head against the desk, it helps a little. What I wonder is why these servers are always so slow to get back up. Even a whole reboot of a server wouldn't take long. Seems to me that there might be a communication problem with the server admins or something so they aren't aware of the crashes.

The people who are now admins don't have anyway of resetting them because they can only access the admin panel in game, and with no servers they cannot access it.

This. Admins can only change the settings like (Map, Factions, round times, etc.) of a certain server when it's online and only when it's online. Admins see the same servers (or the lack of) as any normal user. Admins can't restart the servers and have nothing to do with setting them up or taking them down.

EDIT: My language?

Opportunity  eh

The issue isn't about that we have the opportunity to play the game but that companies pay for beta testing, to have the opportunity of having their game checked out and being able to correct its problems before release. Games that are too buggy on release usually have bad press, even if it's just "mouth-to-mouth" bad publicity.

I don't think it's a matter of rights or business models, it's a matter of manners. They know there are dozens, maybe hundreds of people eagerly waiting for the servers to get up, and they just keep their mouths shut. We don't get any info whatsoever. Asking for info isn't very improper, imho.
