Give infantry classes higher shield skill

Ontopic, and Arrow to the leg, foot, arm, chest, head may not always kill the target. Depending on where it hits how far it went in and what type of arrow head you can survive being hit by an arrow. But survivability is increased in extremities arms/legs rather than chest seeing as you have no vital organs in your arms and legs. Also being shot in the leg doesn't always immobilize you it entirely depends on where it hits how far it went in and what type of arrow head. 
 
You forgot the arteries. The poor warrior would bleed to death even if the arrow had landed just in one of the arms or legs.

I don't like the idea of a high shield skill for soldiers, it would create a "barrier" making it impossible or harder to land an arrow and do damage when the enemy shield is raised.
 
From experience I understand that experienced archers can wipe out infantry with ease, but is it necessary to raise the shield skill?
How about getting a board shield, or moving about a lot while blocking until you have reached your enemy.

Honestly it's kind of balanced on both sides, people who can't block get owned, archers that get rushed by ANY NOOB that can block get owned, but then again it depends where you are how far away from them you are and depending on equipment.
 
One more thing to say, then I will complete my departure from pw. 

Changing the shield skill would add a bit of a forcefield, so how about throwing weapons?  Many times I've wished for a throwing axe to take out a pesky archer. 
Feel free to tell me how I'm wrong  :grin: or how adding them would create lag, or create a time paradox and break the fourth wall and etc.

Make sure to remember this so one of you arseholes can quote me when I play pw again.
 
Throwing weapons aren't in the mod because of duplication problems with Warband's ammunition system, if I remember correctly. You could buy a stack of 4 throwing axes, throw 3, sell, and repurchase at next to no cost.
