My settlement doesn't have any workshops and I experience the same issue. It has to do with the settlement because when I only had a castle the income was normal. Only when I got the settlement I started getting the problem.
Same problem. Since Ortysia was awarded to me, my treasury has kept going up. Sometimes 50k steps.

There is somthing really wrong. It goes up with 60k steps.
edit2: After i loose the settlement my income stays normal. (Maybe the problem is with the workshops there?)

I have the same problem as you guys. Exactly after getting my big major settlement. What do you suggest? Starting over? Losing settlement and retaking it again? Starting a whole new campaign. I would like to be able to play again, preferably without losing too much progress. It this a known bug and has it been pointed out to the devs? Do we know the underlying reason for it to happen?
I don't know I wouldn't start over again. I saw on multiple forums (including steam) that more people have experienced it. I recommend waiting a couple of days because the devs are releasing patches every day. Maybe they'll patch it in the upcoming patches.

800k a battle? That is quite much. I advise you to take a close eye on your total amount of money and check how much it increased after a day (shortly after you paid you wages). If you are experiencing the same problem as we are, the amount should go up. A bigger amount than the money you earn by taxes, etc. How much does it go up by you?
I'm getting around 20k a day while my expected change shows i should be getting -300 gold. The more gold I have the more i'm getting because when I had around 30k I was getting around 4k a day. I dont think it's the income from battles.
I have also faced this exact issue; it started the moment my denar balance reached 1M from a battle that gave me 800k in a single plunder. After that point, I begun seeing my money increase by approximately 45-50x the suggested daily expected income. My buddy who is currently in the same progress as me, with the same workshops, and the same caravan levels and number of properties does not have this issue, but he hasn't yet reached 1M in denars, could be coincidental, or an issue with the 1m values.

That is the bug we are talking about: you get more money although the expected change is way less than you earn. I don't think it has anything to do with the the amount you have (it might have). The amount of money I have has been going up gradually. It started with 1k per day, now I earn 9k a day without having owned any workshops or caravans. It started doing this after receiving my first settlement. Multiple people said they got this bug after getting their first settlement
Edit: it certainly has to do with how much you earn. I reloaded an old save. I have around 2k there and only get 400 more income. The more money you own, the more money you get extra for god knows what
