Get money back?

I don't know if this can be considered a bug, (and I've tried searching for it so just tell me if this has already been stated), but whenever I lose a battle, I lose some of my crap and a bit of money. Usually after that I try taking them on a second time. When I succeed, I get my crap back, but not my money. Perhaps you should get your money back when you kill the same party that took it, instead of it disappearing off the face of the earth.
