Europe in April 1521, a big wave of wars has come over the continent.
Nearly every country is involved in bloody battles.
Due to the large influx of gold and silver from the New World, the monetary value decreases rapidly.
Money is getting more and more useless and people start to organize revoltes against their government.
The christian church has been split into protestant and catholic and muslim armies
from the Ottoman Empire are trying to conquer south european and north african factions with united forces.
How will it all end? It's up to you.
You are able to decisively influence the outcome of any battle which takes place,
from Iceland to Saudi Arabia and from Russia to Morroco.


Introduction
Battle of Europe is a total conversion multiplayer mod set in the early 16th century Europe,
with a main focus on historical accuracy and realism.
It offers a persistent multiplayer experience with online character development and tons of unique features.

As a tester , i need to say , this mod is simply awesome. I was a tester and played the mod , and i need to say that i was amazed by the mod.just on the test period it was really fun to play and really good. The most and best part for me : The realistic gameplay it has.
A truly beautiful work done by Sebastian. And think of it , its only in Pre-Alpha , So it means that Sebiastian has more awesome thing's he has in mind.  Once again a  truly beautiful and awesome work. 10/10 for me

And here comes a new guy who wants to join the developer team as a mapper.
It's Karatasak, I'm going to add him to the developer list and I will see how good we can work together.

It means, that you can create a character which is connectet to a database on our server.
This character is able to level up in multiplayer, so it gets xp and gold for kills etc.
And the leveling will be similar to the leveling in singleplayer.

But this feature only will be available in a few months. I havent created the database yet.

I just want to make sure, that I'm still working nonstop on my mod. :wink:
So I want to show you my changelog of the latest version.
Code:
v0.170 (July 26, 2012)
- added break chance on some weapons
- horses now also lose hp if they bump other agents
- added fall damage to rider, if the horse falls down
- added a new reticle
- improved shot distance calculation
- added the server option to disallow melee weapons, armors and horses
- multiplayer weather and daytime is now changeable
- added an automatic administration mode to the admin panel
- added an own chat for admins only
- improved server and client scripts
- new and optimized method to calucate the max draw time for bows
- grenades and cannonballs now damage detructible objects
- added LOD's for many bushes
- item balance
- several bug fixes

As you can see, horses will lose health points if they bump other players.
In this screen you see the moment after I bumped another player with my horse and my horse actually has lost hp from the impact.
In the lower left corner of this screen you can see the multiplayer damage report.

By the way
I'm going to release an open alpha of "Battle of Europe" in august or september (depends on how quickly I will finish my planned stuff).
I already rented servers, so you will be able to play it online nonstop.
 
Dude, your mod sounds awesome, I wish you the best of lucks, I hope to get a chance to test mod by November or December (vacations  :smile: ) , this mod is a "must play", a 16th century mod is definitively needed.

A new version is out.

v0.176 (August 10, 2012)
- killing a horse with rider will count as a normal kill
- horse maneuver has been reduced
- multiplayer bot count raised up to 250 per team
- added a random knock down chance on shield bash
- lowered the shield bash damage
- walk key changed to left_alt/right_alt
- added a mod option window to enable/disable special preferences
- item balance
- several bug fixes

The second closed alpha test is started and all testers will get a download link of the latest version.

By the way...
I'm looking for some new testers, pm me if you want to apply.

The server is also online(permanently).

After trying the mod (for a little time sadly) all I have to say is that the mod has a lot of potentials,it has a lot of elements that not only make it balanced but fun aswell.
