This thread is for the FAQ, but you may also post here to ask for quick help from me or the other players regarding minor issues.
Gekokujo now has a wiki: http://gekokujo.wikia.com/wiki/Gekokujo_Wiki (As of this posting, it is not yet filled up with any articles at all )
Q: My game crashes when I start a new campaign
A: It may take a very long time to start up a new game (that it looks like it must have crashed) because of the number of factions in play. I am working on improving startup time, but while that is still not fixed, I suggest starting a new game in windowed mode to allow you to do something else while it starts up. Once your new character is made, you can save it and restore full-screen mode -- starting a new game takes a long time, but loading an existing save is as quick as normal Mount and Blade.
Q: Half of the names are from regular Mount & Blade
A: Unfortunately, Gekokujo has not been properly translated from English. Playing on anything other than English will cause certain text to use translations of the native module. If you would like to give translation a try, even just for items and city names, download https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B29QA_i8Xg9iU0RKdk54Zmc3VzQ/edit?usp=sharing and edit the entries as you see fit.
Q: Where can I download Gekokujo?
A: The release announcement thread has all the mirrors, but here they are for your convenience:
Nexus: http://www.nexusmods.com/mbwarband/mods/3816/?
ModDB: http://www.moddb.com/mods/gekokujo
Yemeth's: http://www.solem-lauda.com/gekokujo/gekokujo_3.0.exe
Google Drive: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B29QA_i8Xg9iMFYySHBRdDBCVkE/edit?usp=sharing
Q: I get an NSIS error when I download Gekokujo
A: That actually just means the mirror hosting the file is acting up -- I suggest downloading from another mirror or trying at a different time. I am trying to have as many mirrors as possible so that "download at a different time" does not have to be an option.
arlvent21 has also found a solution that might work for you (it worked for him):
Q: What are the character creation options?

arlvent21 said:As a last resort, the installer can be executed even though it's corrupted. To bypass the corruption test, pass /NCRC on the command line. To do so, go to Start->Run, type cmd and hit Enter. A black console window should open. Drag the installer into the window, hit Space and type /NCRC. Hit Enter again and the installer should start. This is not recommended!
When all else fails, you will need to contact either the developers of the software you're attempting to download or your personal computer support channels.
