Gekokujo - Daimyo Edition (Updated w/moddb link)

Whenever I join battle I have full control over allied troops, even if they belong to other lord. Is that intended? If so, any idea how to disable it? It kinda defeats the purpose of leading a group of hired blades.

Open scripts.txt file (make a backup first) and find these lines there:

That 0 in green, replace it with a 1 and that should do it.
 
Overall it looks exciting to try out, but personally I don't like the Kyoto Interior scene wall textures, seems unrefined and like a material that should be used in peasant housing. Use screen walls from Gekokujo instead? Also the rug/ background decor appears to not be lined up with the wall behind it, asymmetrical.

Tried my best when i did them, but in future i may be able to update them and hopefully improve them. Thank you for feedback.  :smile:

Honestly they aren't TOO bad.  its just the music feels off.  then again This is also coming from the guy who doesn't mind a bit of out of pace music sometimes.

However i have some quick question and suggestions.

-Is this version 3.1? You know, the one with gates in sieges.
-Is nobori fixed in this submod (if it is included)? Like the bearer uses katana to fight, not using the banner to strike.

and a suggestion.

-Check out some ashigaru stats, for example Oda Skirmisher has 79 proficiency in archery and 119 in firearms. Whereas Chosokabe has 119 in archery and 79 in firearms. Can you up the stats to find an even ground? Proficiency in archery matters more than firearms.

2)Yes it is fixed.

about that suggestion i didnt change anything regarding stats, Phlipp did a great job with balancing the units i didnt want to change that, archery and firearms are both equally important and well balanced in my opinion.

But thanks for the suggestion anyways!

Now that you mention Nobori Bearers. I´ve noticed that they don´t always carry their Nobori and I remember one of them once fighting just with his fists.

Can you provide screenshots? Because ive been testing daimyo edition for about 2-3 months and ive never experienced such a thing, the reason they dont always carry nobori is to avoid massive nobori blobs, that was unrealistic to have half of the army with nobori so i decided to reduce amount of nobori and they carry yari and sword instead, that way it is much more realistic, 100 nobori in a 250 strong party is very unrealistic. I ve checked troops txt to see if i forgot to give them any weapons but it seem everythibg is correct and i havent seen anyone fighting with their fists. But if there is anything wrong please provide me some screenshots so i can fix it. Thank you for feedback.

I don't have any sort of colour when opening said document. Is it a notepad thingy, or..?
BTW, how does one only get Arquebusiers/Archers instead of them being mixed up? I know that there is a 'submod' for this for 3.0, but what about this?

It won´t be colored in notepad. I just colored it here to show which one it was. To find it just take a look at what is around it and then compare it with your own file. Don´t forget to make a backup before changing anything.

BTW Daimyo Edition is based on Gekokujo 3.0, so unless Aruda changed something in mission_templates.txt himself, Sugoroku´s skirmishers submod should work here too.

EDIT: My bad, it was mission_templates, not scripts.

EDIT2: I forgot Daimyo Edition also includes Melphiz´s submod. So no, it won´t be compatible.

I really need glasses, I am afraid. I didn't see that you coloured one in in your post.
 
You seem to have bugged up the freelancer script for lords that let you keep the equiptment.  they say they let you keep it and then take it anyway like the coding snipet to go in that spot to change that was disabled or removed. was that an intentional part of the work?

if not how would I fix that myself?  (be aware I'm no coder.)
