What i meant was the added conveinence of being able to pull 110k's with a car.....

i refuse to answer any questions as long as we are talking about gasoline . it's called petrol

1. Do you live further than 10mi away from your job?

Aye. About 10 miles, which I can make in about 15 mins down the motorway.

2. Do you have to drive for your job (visit sites, haul equipment, etc)? If so, does your employer pay for your gas?

Nope, I only have to drive to it.

3. Have you had to seriously cut back on living expenses to make sure they can pay for gas?

Nah. Petrol costs a lot, but I can afford enough to get to work and back five times a week.

4. Have you considered moving closer to your work, or taking a job closer to home?

I did live close to work, but then they moved it to another town. Because of the nature of my job, we had to have our phone network on a different exchange than our (old) backup building. I'm not moving just for my job, it doesn't pay well enough and if they move it again I'd be in the same position anyway.

5. Would you consider taking a minor pay cut if your job allowed you to telecommute?

Possibly.

6. Would you consider taking a pay cut ($5k/yr) if your job was less than ten miles away?

Hell no. I'm a good worker and worth every penny they pay me. In fact, I should get a raise.

7. What's your primary vehicle, and what's its fuel efficiency?

Citroën Saxo 1.1l engine. No idea. I'm looking for something bigger, though. Maybe a small jeep or land rover. My dog's kinna out-grown the car so I need something with a bigger boot, even if the car/engine size is the same.

I dunno what the roads are like were you come from, but i have a feeling that you mightn't have enough power with that small of an engine with a jeep.

Yeah well, I got a LOT of funny looks today when I rode a horse down to subway, and ordered 2 footlong sandwiches (one was a vegeterian for the horse).. I'm thinking of riding down to the bank tomorrow.... bah wait, its Saturday tomorrow... Oh well ::razz:

Oh oh oh! Can I have the Citroen once you're done with it? Pretty please with a cheri on top?

Anything beats having no car at all after all, even if it's one with the steering wheel on the wrong side. :p

Also, you can't eat your car if you find yourself starving in the wilderness.

Yeah, but if you take metal cutters with you you can.
