Garrisons and wages

I've been thinking. If a town/castle has a big garrison, does it produce less money for you?

The only thing that affects the amount of money you get is the prosperity of the place. How many you have garrisoned makes no difference.

And you can increase prosperity through some sort of building operation.

or if its a city, how many caravans that visit it.
