Lets have them focus on single player, and multiplayer campaign much like in Red orchestra 2. Red orchestra has a multiplayer campaign mode where its like a game board, and two teams pick areas they want to assult/defend, and if they win they can advance to take over the game board.

You know, that would be pretty good fit for a M&B game. The community on /r/mountandblade have something similar, where they have bi-monthly battles with players representing the different factions, and they have a map that they update after the events. Having a mode like that, or close to that, but official would be really cool to see in BL.

Would much rather see them finish the multiplayer first before doing multiplayer events

LOL conquest of Calderia .  Bannerlord took 6 years .  That online game probably going to take another 60 years.

Somewhat smaller or same sized place and they are alone. Plus , this time they are in the open.

I think Bannerlord: Battle Royale would be a cool idea if it used Mount & Blade's strength in AI units. Instead of only finding loot you could also recruit AI soldiers (4-6 in each band, with a maximum 800 posible to spawn over the whole map). Then when you kill a player his remaining bots if he has any becomes yours and so it goes until the end. This would result in the starts being more small skirmishes and the end being huge battles with 3-400 bots in the end. Since 400 would probably die or never get recruited.

Pretty good idea but I'm pretty sure that having 800 bots on a single scene in multiplayer would cause way too much lag, unless if you're talking about having some sort of multiplayer world map.

I expect to see some progress being made compared to last year's game footage where it was obvious the group of AI fighters were moving as in slow motion and used no brains when attacking. If there will be any new game footage presented, it will be quite easy to see if the release date is a close thing (several months) or not.
