No, it is just that she isn't the only lead character of the game.  I was saying there is one female lead out of three male leads.

You can try Max Payne 2, where you get to play as Sexy Mona Sax! You can just download the FPS modification for the game. Thief 2 Metal Age X, which is an unofficial expansion where you play as Zaya. I'd say beats the hell out of any other FPS stealth games.

I hear Velvet Assassin is kinda cool, not an FPS however. Then again, I'm always confused by people that play most FPS games.

I was just about to come on and post that. Yes it is an awesome game, more of a stealth shooter than a FPS. But I really enjoyed playing that game. Only problem is there is a lot higher of a graphics requirement then they say. I had to go out and buy an ATI 4850HD just to play it, as opposed to my Nvidia 8600GT.

I've been playing a well-made module for NWN that requires the player to be female if you want the story to make sense.
It's called "A Dance with Rogues" and is a true orgy of sex, rape and violence (none of which are completely avoidable). It was made by a woman though, if that helps.

Already played Dance with Rogues, part one and part two, using rogue/assassin, a fighter/crusader, a ranger/shadowdancer, a sorcerer/Red Wizard of Thay, a monk/assassin, a wizard/archmage, and a fighter/weaponmaster, gotta be my favorite NWN module of all time. Beaten it with all the above builds.

That would be 5. I hate the RE games because they're on the PS2. What kind of dumb**** makes shooters on a console?

I played some Resident Evil a long time ago (character was a male cop), it was too scary for me, so maybe I stopped playing before the puzzles... I also saw some Resident Evil in youtube, there you had to press the right button at the right time (maybe boss battle), but that part is more about reaction than puzzle solving.

All the 1st and 3rd person shooters with female leads I know have been already mentioned.

So, I've been looking at games recently, and it's rare, compared to the majority, that you actually come across a game where you can select a woman as the player you use - this is especially prevalent in first person shooters. I can understand the historical shooters, but ones based in the near future - and hell, even current day - almost never have a female character available to the player. So I was wondering if you lot could recommend games that star a woman, particularly first person shooters, that aren't Tomb Raider.

There are plenty of games, but most don't stick out because nowadays they let you pick your gender at the start of the game. First person shooters besides Tomb Raider that come right off my head would be Perfect Dark. The one for the N64 was without a doubt the best FPS on the system.

Hmm that could be 4 or the start of 2, but the second half of two is a girl. also some of the other RE's have female leads not to mention the movie adaptations follow one of the females.

RE4 turned the series into a weird kind of shooter. It's not as lame as most shooters but it's not the locked-cam-position type game that the old resident evils are.

I forget where I heard it, I think it was actually one of my rare visits to IRC, but apparently she was a fraud. The pictures she posted weren't of herself, and she lied about alot of things. She just up and left at some point. Why, I am I unsure. Maybe someone else can fill you in better.
