In Progress Game wont start

None of these fixed have worked for me. Sad noises

OS: Win7
CPU: AMD FX-8350 4.2GHz
GPU: 1050Ti 4gb
RAM: 16gb DDR3

Allright boys, i have a confession to make.

I followed Callums post in how to attempt a fix, reinstalled all Net. and Microsoft Visuals C++, also added Bannerlords to my exemptions in anti-virus and firewall.
Updated Windows Update and my drivers were up to date, but i still had the same problem as you now, now here's how i fixed it so the game actually starts, and so far it has gotten me into the main menu.

On Windows 10, if you open "National settings" go to the other tab "Administrative settings"

"Languages for programs that doesn't support Unicode" change that to your language if it isn't already. (I'm Swedish so the translation might be wrong)
I'll shamefully admit that mine was on Japanese some old japanese borderline porn games back in the day and couldn't be bothered to change it.

This was my last change and it did get me into the main menu from Steam, not sure if it will work for everyone.
did everyhing sugested here now as well and all it did was make the game crash faster, I dont even get to the loading screen anymore....

Is there anyone with AMD graphics with this problem?
running an AMD RTX500 and running into this problem; game starts, white screen, then error message ":unable to initialize steam.api" and CTD. tried reinstalling the game, reinstalling steam, verifying local files, uninstalling/reinstalling all the dependencies, restarting, running both steam and bannerlord with admin privileges. nothing works :<

Have installed everything from here: https://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php?threads/game-failing-crashing-at-launch.397007/ but game still crashes. Log:

Interesting, I don't think Nvidia people are getting that error? We are getting no errors, just the CTD.

Updated all drivers and updated windows and all C++ and .Net framework went into the event Viewer and got these messages

Have tried everything here: https://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php?threads/game-failing-crashing-at-launch.397007/

Have also verified game cache, tried it with antivirus off and changed the windowed mode toggle in the .ini in documents.

Nothing happens when I launch Bannerlord.exe and I get a few seconds of loading screen with Bannerlord.Native.exe.

It's going to take a lot of launches to rack up the 5 min playtime I need to post a glowing review. ;_;

I have tried all the suggestions here and Steam community. None of them works. Imagine you are making a game in 8 years and it doesn't even launch. lol.

Well I finally fixed the issue for myself. Here's everything I did:

1) Updated Windows 10. Not every update, just to 1709 (I was really outdated).
2) Installed .net framework 4.8
3) Installed .net core framework
4) Updated to latest graphics driver (I used Nvidia)
5) Set all of the exes in the game bin folder to be run as administrator.

After #5, the game finally loaded for me.

Unfortunately I've done all that and still doesnt work.

huh that's weird. is it starting up at all? like i get the launcher up and then a white screen and then the error and then the CTD. im curious if you're getting any of that, or just the crash right away.

I have literally spent all day doing every fix that could be found in every thread and forum. The thing I discovered is that the net 4.7.1 is not compatible with windows eight. Does that mean its it for me? is it necessary to have 4.7.1? how easy would it be for me to downgrade to windows 7? and Im not coughing up the one hundred dollars for win 10. I wanted to play this game so bad :^(

Posting to say this worked for me. Setting the exe's to run as admin and running Bannerlord.exe directly from the folder solved my startup crashes.

Still crashes when running through Steam sadly.

NVIDIA GTX 1660 Ti here. For me, the game starts (not just the launcher, but the game itself). It opens the loading screen, I see the background and some running horse icon. 20 seconds later, horse freezes, and 1 second later the game silently crashes. No error messages, just closes.

Yeah, that's exactly my problem too.

For the record, update win10 to the newest version can solve the launching issue. (AMD 2600X+RX480)
