Posted this on reddit but I figure I might as well put it here too: http://imgur.com/a/MQGq3
Summary: First attempt I get headshot pretty quickly, troops charge, get slaughtered. Noldor firing lasers from the two side towers kill most of my guys before they even make it up the ladder.
I spend a several more attempts finding hiding spots not to die and trying to do my normal siege routine (shoot defenders until they all die), but the 'blind spots' on Elacrai are gigantic and my guys mostly aren't shooting.
So, looking for a way to cheese things, I pulled back to the mountaintops and finally got my knights shooting. As a bonus, it seemed also like the Noldor had more trouble shooting back. Eventually I thin them out enough to take the walls, and Elacrai and its crappy loot is momentarily mine.
Anyone have other stories about taking this place? Has anyone succeeded in a direct assault? Like maybe with a axe/shield CKHO setup?
